Feel free to post! What's your method for boosting PC performance in games?
It's the same old thing since 1916
In your head, in your head they're still fighting
With their tanks and their bombs
And air bombs and their guns
In your head, in your head they are dying...

i have a 165hz monitor and sometimes i overclock it on EU only tbh but it really does help with blocking and this may sound weird but on medium speed my footworks much better than on NA with 240hz.

Added a section on Steam Optimization after the Conclusion. If you've already followed the steps in the original guide, be sure to check this new section out as it can substantially increase the speed of Steam and your Steam-based video games.

Added "Power Options" under the Captain Obvious Over Here section. Updated Miscellaneous options to include "Disable Transparancy Effects", "Disabling Start Up Programs", "Disable Windows 10 Tips", and "Enable Game Mode". Also finally added a section I've been testing for some time titled "Killing Cortana", a method of disabling Cortana without leaving negative lasting effects on your search functionality.

I also experimented with a few other methods such as VRAM, ReadyBoost, and Indexing. Increasing VRAM and disabling Indexing were both forms of robbing Peter to pay Paul in my experience, as the computer sacrificed performance in one area to concentrate on another. By contrast, ReadyBoost worked for older systems, but only older systems, and did not offer a substantial performance increase on any computers that were made within the last five years. Due to these facts I have decided not to include these three methods in this guide.

Jesus Christ why do you need to use so many posts, just learn to format like the rest of the forum

90 degrees is not dangerous, utter bollocks. You'll lose performance but all modern systems have built in temp limits anyway. Short of physical power mods or using a 3rd party bios its impossible to damage your PC by heat it produces itself.
The only real way to damage your hardware overclocking is overvolting your CPU, just google safe limits and you're fine, not that you even explained how to overclock it.

Also if you're doing an "overclocking" guide at least include turning on XMP profiles for RAM. Technically speaking it's overclocking, and if you build your own PC but haven't ventured into the BIOS (which seems likely given the level this is aimed at) you'll be missing out on significant performance, especially on Ryzen. Obviously don't go into (sub) timings but XMP is the easiest free performance you'll ever get.
