17th's New Era

On the 20th October 2019, Col Daniel Carrick retired from all regimental duties and has left both the regiment and game for the foreseeable future. This was rather unexpected for the majority of the regiment with how sudden everything occurred but on behalf of the regiment, we would like to thank you for all the hard work you put in and out of the game since forming especially when you single handedly recruited all of the new recruits into regiment which was amazing to witness. Finally, we like to wish you all the best with your future endeavors and hope you find time to stop by the TeamSpeak and catch up every so often.

Moving forward changes are being seen from top to bottom of the regiment, in Dan's stead Cpt Edward Fraser has taken the mantle of Colonel and command of the regiment. Lt James Love has been promoted to Captain and assumed the role of Grenadier company leader. Due to Lt William Andersons lack of time has decided to step down as leader of the newly formed Centre company and resume as an enlisted private within the Gren company. Now to fill this spot left by William Anderson it was decided that Ensign Charles MacDonald was to take command and take this company forward. Lastly, three of our current Grenadier NCO's have decided to step down each with their own reasoning therefore I'd like to thank Sjt David Lyon, Cpl Ryan Davenport and Cpl Bradley McKay for their time as non commissioned officers.

We caught up with the 17th's new Colonel to ask him about his feelings concerning the regiment after the most recent events.

Colonel Edward Fraser - "With Daniel resigning we say goodbye to a friend and an excellent leader I hope he finds what he's looking for and makes it big for himself with whatever he pursues next. Now regarding the regiment, we'd like to continue where we left of obviously replacing positions that are now vacant which need filling and potentially changing a few things here and there as we go forward. But as of right now I'm confident with the support of Fwuffy (Cpt. James Love) we can keep this going. To close out id like to say both Centre and Grenadier companies of the regiment are still active and playing with weekly events so if you are interested in joining add myself [17th] Rune or [17th] Fwuffy and we'll help you out or alternatively visit our forum 17th.eu
