Germanic Countries|8-5| United Kingdom

Well, to tell you how close the match was, let me note that it started at 7 PM GMT and ended at 8.46 PM GMT. I thank both teams for their patience in certain breaks and times.

Great sportsmanship was observed, a clean, wonderful match added to the community's list of events.

Good stuff Germany!
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often.

Indeed a good match; we let a couple rounds slip away from our grasps which would have made it very interesting in terms of the outcome.  Gutted to not come away with the win, but onwards and upwards.

Huge GG to UK  :-*
Loved especially the large tactical aspect of the match!

Can I just say that I’m really impressed with the cav community, 10x more mature than the inf community and a lot less tolerant of the cancerous players

And again i witnessed an unbelievable Game.
This time Germanic Countries vs United Kingdom. Both sides were distinguished by changing tactics, grandiose individual actions and strong Leadership (i was at the Ger-TS). The Germans were able to single kill many British by splitting off the opposing players as their main tactic. Whenever the British changed their "passive" tactics to an aggressive breakthrough or fake split-off (and turning as a whole around), the Germans had a hard time to adjust to it. Both teams were able to cancel numerical inferiority on a regular basis.
Here is the match up (GER:UK):
1:0
2:0
2:1
3:1
3:2
3:3
3:4
4:4
5:4
6:4 Melee 4vs3 (the rounds end was an melee on foot)
7:4
7:5
8:5

The (relatively) clear result does not reflect the game. It was actually an 13 Round menace. A big fat GG to both Teams!

Congrats to both teams, sounds like I missed a hell of a match!

We've had a lot of epic encounters this far in the group stage, and it's not about to end with big fixtures still to be played like POL v FRA or BNL v GER, as an organizer seeing everyone enjoy themselves in great matches like that really is a great sight.

I'll 100% watch that video, Dokletian!

6:4 Melee 4vs3 (the rounds end was an melee on foot)

This round, for me, was the decider of the entire match. As Skittles said we threw away a lot of rounds, which I agree with, but this round was very tense. We lost a lot of horses (and most of the riders) early on which meant it was a few mounted with a few dismounted, against a whole load of mounted players. I reckon if we won that round, which we could have if we played more patiently, then the outcome would of been significantly different. But as one of the dismounted I can say that this part definitely challenged not only me, but the teamwork of UK the most out of any match so far this year. A huge congratulations to Germany, I hope to face you again later in the competition, if UK get through the group-stage.

I think that won't be a issue for you guys, because you played extremely well and the results so far also suggest that you will make it to the semi-finals. But Spain will probably expect you there and that will be a very different thing, as you have seen in France vs Spain.
