Well, in the trailer we can see the guillotine in front of....the Cathedral..... I told myself "This is going to be bad".

"Let them eat cake"

Marie Antoinette never said anything like that. It just jumped out of Russeau's brain.

Considering the plot revolves around magic pre-civ space human artifacts being fought over by Assassins and a order of Knights through history I doubt accuracy matters much.

Remember how cartoonishly evil villains in this game are sometimes?

Totally true. If you want to search for historical accuracy don't play AC.

But this game series is still awesome. And I want to make the statement that it would be worse if there was much more historical accuracy.

Well ok with the fact that it's not 100% historically accurate. But, they could make the game harder a little bit, it's fun to play but it's way too easy, and the fact that it is too easy kills the fun. I couldn't even be arsed to finish ACIII despite the good story and graphics.

I doubt they'll go back to levels of difficulty with the 1st one considering the general opinion of it being too difficult from the majority of people.

I hope you all one starred those terrible old as time missions in Black Flag (CHASE A DUDE, HIDE AND FOLLOW A DUDE, CHASE A DUDE THROUGH A LINEAR SETTING) so we don't see them in this one.

Well know I'm happy I didn't buy Black Flag. ::)

I'm certain they can make it a tad harder without making it as hard as the first one. They don't need to only go to the extremes, I'm fairly sure they are able to do it.

I've never really bothered looking as I find enough entertainment running around stabbing dudes and jumping off roofs, but surely there is some sort of difficulty setting tucked about somewhere maybe?

I liked the first one the best. Templars were actually a hard enemy and gave you a tough fight, you couldn't buy maps with all the places of feathers and treasures etc. And I gotta say I liked the setting reaaaaaaaaally much.

But overall AC II was my favourite. The Italian ambiente was just utterly astonishing and the story was superb IMO. I hope they go back to the roots.

Considering that France and Italy are closely related we may see a return to the roots of AC II indeed. ;D

But I sincerely hope it will be a little bit harder. Just a bit!

Yeah, Black Flag was really easy. But I adored the extra missions under water and in Havanna and so on.

I'd love it more role playing like. Maybe with choices you can make. And a proper inventory. Still as an action game but more realistic and not just streamlined.

I'd like for them to overhaul the really simple 'Now you see me, now you don't' stealth and camo system.
