Not sure on a lot of history stuff (early in the game I was secluded in the 29th), but I know a couple of things. Pretty sure a big reason fire on charge (FoC) was banned from linebattles was because of Hugonaut (leader of 29th). He did a thing called the "crescent of death". What that means is we would wrap our line around the enemy line standing still (while we were moving), he would just say "now" and we would all instantly turn towards the enemy line and fire (basically destroying 3/4 of the line) then charge in. After doing this like 3 times, the admins freaked out and said we couldn't do that anymore.
EDIT: Why I think it affected FoC for all events is because it was in a very big event (usually had 2 200 slot servers completely full for this single event). I would say over half of the NA community that had events on that night attended that event.
