Broken Steam Overlay

I don't seem to be the only person with this problem, is there a fix?

I've had the problem I could only open the steam overlay when I was in a server.
It just got fixed over time

But I do recommend looking if your overlay is actually on for warband

It's broken for singleplayer and different Warband mods for myself.

Never really defined broken :

Attempts to open the overlay but shutters attempting to phase out of the ingame screen. I've pulled off phasing it to overlay by mashing buttons but I need to to work again..

i've experienced that problem.

Try restarting steam or just ctrl+alt+delete and then shut down the overlay in the tab processes and then restart it.

Usually I find opening the game without any steam chats open works best.

So this is what I've gathered:

Not starting under steam properly, I can tell because it no longer records hours. Anyway to fix steam not running in Warband?
