Discussion of factions
« on: February 11, 2013, 03:23:31 pm »
This thread is basically for discussing your opinion on the different factions in-game, what you like or dislike about them or what you think should be changed. Also for discussion of what faction you think should be/should have been (since we almost certainly won't get a new faction) represented in the game. I will post some polls regularly.

I would have liked to see an Ottoman or any other middle eastern faction. The faction we have and are on the poll are just copies of eachother, while Ottomans could have camel riders and different looking units

Hm, as far as the poll goes, I would have to choose the Netherlands. Not only did they have cool uniforms, but they also fought later in the war. Which is the time the game is centered on (1812-15 I thought it was). Where-as none of the other options did (iirc).
I don't trust anything but pizza from a pizza place.

I agree with Koenig, especially given their contributions at Waterloo

Its begining on the changes it makes to the western world, China played a big role in how the culture in Britain was formed including agriculture to sculpture design. Let alone would be the awsomeness of turning china into a Zombie style mod of thousands of them rushing across a field like an endless swarm ;)

I'd like to see Japan because Samurai, if we're looking at Kator's logic. ;).

But in all seriousness, Spain. I love guerrilla warfare.

Either Spain or the Ottomans (although they aren't on the list). Netherlands, Sweden and German states would just be one hit wonders, with everyone getting bored of them after day 1 when they realise they add nothing new to the game.

Why aren't the American's on the list? The American's single-handedly won the Battle of Waterloo for the Allies, as they did win both World Wars for the allies as well.
