For once, Ted and Mclovin aren't the ones arguing
If he's going to be this rude then I'll just leave him to be rude on his own.

Casualties /=/ deaths

Casualties include wounded, POWs, and deaths. If you look up casualties of ww1, nations like France and Germany had more than 6 million casualties. While Russia had over 9 million.

Note: I'm not saying I agree with all of the numbers. Montenegro did lose double their actual army size.

This is a retarded argument. Casualties don't just get up and fight the next battle after being wounded. Besides, are we to assume that most of those casualties are just flesh wounds and not crippling injuries and deaths?

If it truly bothers you all that much I can lower the Casualty parameter I use when calculating casualties from Total Roll.

Or from the casualties I can do another step & further disect the casualties total, giving detailed numbers for Killed, Wounded, Prisoner/Deserted/Missing.

Both are a lot of work, since I've been going the entire game with the same numerical values. It'd be rather awkward to suddenly change values or add another step in the GM process mid game, & it'd be especially difficult for both to happen.

I personally have no problems with the numbers. I think you guys are all hung up on casualties, since it's automatically assumed if you're a casualty you're all 100% dead. Obv that's not the case. Plus since the numbers are high altogether, like Ted inadvertently pointed out year by year or month by month the wars have gotten more and more appallingly slow. Romania has fought what, 2 battles in the past 12 months from this update? Men heal, boys get to military age, boys graduate schooling and go straight to the army as time passes by. Same mechanic you see in games like EU4 and Vic, manpower regenerates. Obviously if you're doing total war with offensives and counteroffensives always every month, around the clock, you're going to run out of manpower. (Ottomans) But if you're doing sporadic 1-off offensives once every year against an enemy who does likewise like I've seen some people do you're obviously going to have time to heal.

Idk, I personally feel like relative to historical ofensives these engagements are much smaller & much more spread out in time. If you all really want to change casualties I can I guess. Can't do anything about the past though.
