The idea that Napoleonic Wars is dying is completely wrong. According to Steam data we had approximately 2000 more players on Warband in March than during the same month last year. Moreover, Napoleonic Wars retains more players than native, as it was clear during summer 2015 when Native servers were far less populated than NW servers (and got saved by the free weekend). The population of NW servers is roughly the same as one year ago: one big server filling between 140 and 200 slots (33rd Siege last year, NRP now), followed by another server filling around 100 slots (15thvsBots or Trench_Battle last year, Minisiege now), and tropical paradise as popular as ever.

Just because you look at steam stats does not mean the regiment scene or competitive scene is thriving.

Its extremely close to being dead. Many reasons for that, including its got to the point where nobody wants to sit on pub servers recruiting anymore.

Cant speak for the EU side but here in NA there are several events that still hit 200 most weeks, the NANWL has more regiments than ever, and there are multiple other events and tournaments currently being run.

Either way Bannerlord is soon hopefully we will all get revived.

Many players prefer to dismiss facts because they are fed up with the game, especially those who started playing when the game was at its peak. The truth is that many "community" members hardly play the game anymore, they only take part in a few events per week and they forget that there are players who are not part of any regiment and who can play hours per day on public servers.

Energy and effort keeps any organization running. That is true with regiments. If people don't recruit they die. If you don't enjoy being apart of a large regiment anymore. Thats another matter entirely. Stop making assertions that NW is dead.

NW is doing fine and is in the same shape as it was two years ago. I have my differences with Max, yet I have to say this.

 Without the wonderful work by the admin teams of NWRP and Minisiege. NW would be much darker place.

Id like to think that recruits are fairly easy to get my regiment just started a month ago and ive gotten like 45ish recruits 30ish active. Just go on servers look for pubs and be persistent. Also steam group of dead regiments have got me some of my most active and best members.

Yeah, when I was recruiting I got most people from steam groups of dead regiments. Back in the day when I was really active, now I go in that column of guys who are comming on 2-3 evets per week.

While I can't say much about the community, I think it will live on.
However, I think the game will lost activity once the next big thing comes out.
The gameplay to begin with was quite glitchy and bad, and the only reason I think why people played NW is because people couldn't find an alternative. Additionally, it already had an active community in the Mount and Musket mod.

Well,I don't know about regiments and events but NWRP has like 180-200 people on for hours at a time,while keeping at least 80-100 throughout most of the day.I'd say that ain't too bad. NW's period of glory is obviously long gone but it's still too good of a game to die out.
