I like the idea of voice chat, adds a massive team play element to the game and I think it'll make it all around more immersive and fun. I mean, imagine CSGO without voice chat, its like da same thing with battle crah o' freedem!

I doubt it will work out well and you most likely end up muting everyone except a few. (Regimental officers, in linebattle case)
As I wouldn't want to hear every single kid near me... But I guess it can somewhat still be controlled/influenced in linebattles.

When it comes to outside linebattles, I would just turn off the feature all together. But that's just me.

When it comes to outside linebattles, I would just mute the general sound, or turn off the screen. But that's just me.

Perhaps a quick 'mute all' toggle button would be called for down the track to make it easy to toggle 3dchat on and off client side.

It would also be very useful if you could someone add a degree of accountability when it came to voice chat. Like, for instance, showing who's speaking at any one time in the vicinity, or a report/recording function in order to help people report those who spam or abuse it.

just like H1Z1, you press a button while someone is talking to mute them, or you could hold tab and click on them to mute

This. Officers class orders come through louder, or use ducking of soldiers when the officer class is speaking

Charging would be completely different. You could yell and actually taunt the enemy while fighting them. Makes it more realistic, especially if an officer is yelling to cover a flank, the enemy could hear that and press that flank harder. Makes battle communication more difficult
