The timing of this announcement is interesting. A day before the War of Rights Kickstarter launched. Almost seems like an attempt at sabotage. One blog update in 14 months doesn't mean much to me. I'll believe there's an alpha only when I'm actually playing it.

Can't help myself thinking differently. Would love to be wrong tho.
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often.

Tardet je peux t'assurer que le jeu a bien avancé, et le kickstarter de war of right n'y est pour rien :) Sur le dev shack, les devs se sont remis à poster des screen à tout va :)

The other game's clunky aiming and being stuck in first person will put people off, if BCoF can keep the Mount&Blade combat formula it will be the first choice

I'm more of a fan of a realistic experience but I'll still play both.

Guys, the main problem here is that WaR and BCoF are like Call of Duty and Battlefield in this respect.

Both have similar gameplay styles, aesthetics, communities, playerbases, so on... and therefor, the games take player-base away from eachother. I can honestly see a LOT of people either playing solely BCoF or WaR, not both. And considering that this is the BCoF forum, it kinda would shoot'em in the foot to allow their kickstarter to be advertised here.

That being said, is it honorable? Is it morally right? I dunno, that's a different answer from person to person. But the bottom line is if something might threaten your product... why give it the air-time? And it's not like FSE's shitting on Campfire Games' work here, they just wanna keep things focused.

Y'all are... blowing this outta proportion.
What will set one of these apart and make it worth playing 20+ hours is going to be the melee combat and gameplay which go hand in hand. I don't really care if one of them looks better as I play NW with lowest graphics anyways, I prefer to play games like CSGO and Warband on lowest graphics as game play>aesthetics.

Whichever game has the gameplay to ensure 1000+ hours of game play deserves the community's attention. Also it cant be  simply a cash grab like Kingdoms Rise.

I have no idea where you are getting your information from but no, it will not have a 32 player cap

Seeing as how there are still people who have a hard time running M&B, I'll be surprised if anyone will enjoy the Cryengine that WoR offers.

Good luck to both games, I'll be torrenting buying both.

I'm pretty sure that either war of rights or BCoF will be a cash grab, maybe even both. Wouldn't be surprised if the melee is really dumbed-down to appeal to the "casual" crowd. Same reason spinning was nerfed in NW, don't want game mechanics that are too complicated so that a new player gets dumpstered by a veteran 95% of each duel.
