When people ask me about Sukesa I never know what to tell them, in a way he is the key factor of 4e's success but you rarely see it. Maybe he doesn't talk so much, but we all knew that it was standing still thanks to him. I don't know what the future will bring but I know that Sukesa despite not being there anymore will still be the part of it.

With the Cavalry League set to start Monday the 14th of September, the 4e's preparation phase has been intensifying the past few weeks, with several training sessions and practice matches organized to make the best of the time left before the beginning of the competition. We have trained hard, welcomed a couple of new faces in our ranks and together, we are ready to bring the best versions of ourselves in order to bring a new title to the 4e Hussards.

With new goals and horizons often comes the need for restructuration. This one doesn't come easy as tonight, the 4e bids farewell to one of his best men and most important figure, Sukesa. For a few months already, Sukesa simply hasn't felt the same passion for the game. He tried his best to find it back by accompanying the regiment in all the training preparations we did for the CL but eventually, he wasn't able to find back the same motivation he once had for NW. As we approached the start of this new adventure for the 4e, it seemed best to accept Sukesa's retirement rather than try to force him at a role where he would no longer find any enjoyment. But because this seemed like the most rational option to make doesn't mean it didn't come at a hard price.

Sukesa has been one of the founding fathers of the 4e. When he left the 7e alongside Erik, there was not a single guarantee that together they would write one of the most impressive legacies the warband competitive scene had ever seen. Yet he did it because it seemed like the right choice to make. And damn what a right choice it was. Sukesa gave it his all to make the 4e what it is now. He was key in not only helping the 4e achieve all these impressive titles and build this amazing team spirit and consistency but also in creating this close, friendly community which later turned into a proper family. A family where Sukesa held a prime, essential figure. Not having him at Erik's side will surely feel different but we can at least rejoice with the fact that Sukesa will always stay a 4e member and will continue to keep our community together. Though he shall no longer wear his Lieutenant outfit on Napoleonic Wars, what he created will forever remain as the essence of the 4e. And for that, we are thankful more than we can ever express it.

Only a man of an equal exception can fill the boots of Sukesa and for that, at least are we lucky to count on our newly promoted Lieutenant, Skittles. He has been, as most know it, the second in-game caller for the 4e in competitive events and has been doing more than a fine job at that while observing the third-in-command duties in the daily life of the 4e Hussards as Maréchal Chef des Logis. With Sukesa stepping down, it was only logical to promote Skittles as the official second in command of the regiment. We trust his unparalleled experience in combats and his iron-will to succeed will be of paramount importance in the fights to come and are eager to prove worthy of his leadership.

We also promoted three long-term veterans of the 4e to the positions of Brigadier, namely Maxence, Dokletian and JellyKing. Such a rank often rewards unmatched loyalty, dedication and experience in the regiment. These three men have shown all of these qualities and more, being essential contributors in maintaining the 4e Hussards at the top of the cavalry scene but also making sure the regiment was filled with the most positive atmosphere, at any given time. This new rank is as much a way to thank them for their efforts that it is an indication of the responsibilities they are entrusted with, coming into this Cavalry League. They have set their hearts on showing the best example possible throughout their time in the 4e and we hope they continue to do so for the challenges yet to come.

We are all very much impatient to start this new competition and will begin our first match against the Schlesisches Husaren-Regiment "GrafVonZieten" Nr.4, next week.
