Its not filled with explosion after explosion, but really a truly great trailer as I did read the book by Chris Kyle, and this depicts war in an entirely different way.  If you HAVE already read the book please do NOT spoil what happens, or at least put spoilers with the captain spoiler if you want to talk about the book, but this is more for the movie adaptation upcoming.



I think Bradley Cooper will play this role honestly really well

It will be more centered around the mentality of soldiers, consequences afterwards, the "angel" status quo the sniper has over the other soldiers;  if it's like the book, rather than highlighting Americans killing a bunch...

I still can't get over the doctrine issue. Jesus. Oh well, so far the only two movies/series that get that thing right are black Hawk Down and Generation Kill. I guess looking up how radio procedures work is too much trouble.

Saw this trailer when I went to go see Gone Girl, (which by the way is one of the best fucking films I've ever seen, expect mind fucks, lots of mind fucks) got a pretty intense feel from it, reminded me of black hawk down.

Not military doctrine please. That sniper often did not even utter the word 'over' when talking to HQ. Nor do you, in clearing a house, send in the Auto-Rifleman first, you'll only kill him and the rest of your fireteam.

I was being sarcastic... Obviously, every soldier is concerned for their own life. However, sending the squad gunner in first to spray the house with 5.56mm NATO rounds will do its job quite nicely. It works in games, must work in real life.
