Now, everyone here hold up a bit. Let's go for realism, shall we?
FIRST OFF.
Some confederates had the repeating rifles.
All right, got that off my chest. now, the accuracy of the rifles should be reduced, severely. First off, they were only usable up to 200 yards well due to accuracy and ammunition power. The gun's in NS are insanely less accurate than their real-life counterparts, and seeing as I actively shoot weapons from that period, they run nowhere near. Compensate for that with the Repeater. Make it about as accurate as an 1855 Springfield, or a Lorenz. A feature which I beleive should be added in for the repeater would be bad greasing- The reason they never got pouplar, and this can happen with Revolvers aswell, when fired sparks would fly out and could get into the other chambers, occasionally making them explode in the persons hand. Adding this as a very small chance (no higher than 4-5%) would add a certain "Shit, do I want to use this?" element to the game.
Aswell, the repeater should, at a minimum, have a accuracy reduction. An alternative to balance it would be, realistically, remove the Long Rifle (A flintlock as most accurate? Really?) and make the Whitworth rifle the most accurate. It logistically should have an accuracy of 100, it is the only counterpart to the Repeater. This would allow a good balanceing and a new tactic layout (Sniper teams, anyone?) and increase the historical accuracy of the game, considering how the Whitworth rifle was much more accurate than anything at that time.
