Few events have pierced my heart and shaken my bones as much as hearing the news of your departure. Truly, this is a sad day for the 89th Royal Guard. Even now, with your words still fresh in my ears, I reflect on the glory we shared in battle and the comradery we shared in friendship.
But life is full of new battles to be fought and new wars to be won. I offer you my best wishes as you turn to a new chapter in your life, and I hold onto the hope that our stories will someday intersect once again.
As you take your leave, remember this: The spirit of the 89th Royal Guard lives and fights inside you, just as your spirit, forevermore, rests in those who call the 89th their home.
