So what are your opinioins on this game? I personally cannot tell much. I only played the third part a little bit, but I'm pretty much looking forward to this.

I love the upgraded graphics, however considering Hearts of Iron III was sometimes rather fps laggy I don't hope these improvements won't add up to that. Some extra features seem to look good as well. Yet have to see how they work out actually in the released game though.

For the rest I can only hope that they will keep Hearts of Iron IV with the same difficulty level as III was.

Well, i was expecting something similar to Hearts of Iron III, not Darkest Hour, in fact it looks just like Darkest hour with better graphics.

That's graphics wise, I've seen a few gameplay screenshots and they look a lot like HoI 3.

That interface looks nothing like Hoi3. Maybe a vew small things, but the rest they seem to have re-done most parts of the interface. With new icons and 2d art.

Looks sweet and well really looking forward to the more accurate stats, production ways manpower goes, air forces and armored forces. So we don't see something like a 10,000 men division like in Hoi3, or an air force of 5 planes. But actual numbers with instead so many tanks and far more aircraft.

The downside I seem to see is that the warfare itself looks at this point so easy and so automated. Which worries me a bit. Hoi3 was great because you could spend so much time in organising precisely your army. And micro-manage each division. This looks like you just drop an arrow somewhere and the ai does the rest. Though I can be horribly wrong, but that's what it looks like from that footage.

Also, no shit Poland didn't saw that coming in that footage, he attacked in 1936 lol.

I wouldn't mind a few simplifications when it comes to army management, just as long as has the HoI feeling to it and doesn't become EU IV in WW2.
