Alright. This needs a serious post.
I am officially putting 91st on a hiatus. We are not disbanding, we are not going inactive, we are simply taking time off from many things to reestablish ourselves and wait for an opportune time to rise back into full-on-bydand mode. In the past month and a half, I've had a fucking blast. Some of the new faces who joined 91st quickly became some of my best friends in NW and I'd like to keep it that way. There's no other feeling than when someone says "this regiment is one of the best experiences I've had in NW" earnestly. It's also been a terrifying time--some of my most trusted, relied upon, and liked members leaving, NCOs being unable to play and others uninterested for their position... it's been a real rollercoaster so far. But the members of this regiment, and the friendships and bonds I've made with them that I wouldn't give up for anything, have been holding me back from wanting to quit. And they still do. Some of the best people in this damned community are here in this regiment; Habsburger, Achilles, KingWizard, Seveyaskj, Orcaryo, so fucking many.
On a foreign-affairs side of things, 91st has been hell. I've received a lot of hate, a lot of badmouthing, a lot of people trolling my teamspeak, bothering and even stealing some of our members, and generally harassing everyone. It's been embarrassing and I'm doing my best to keep these people out. They will go unnamed but if I was as much a douchebag as half of NW sees me as, I would be listing their names by now.
Regardless of everything, 91st has been one of the best experiences in a lot of ways thus far in my NW career and the day it disbands is the day I'll lose my interest in NW completely. It's been a shame that it hasn't been what certain members of the NW community and friends of mine would have expected, but it's even more so a shame that they hardly tried (not all of them didn't try).
