My Christms Shopping. Im goi ng to portray the 4rd US Artillery Company B when they were stationed in San Francisco in 1860. Its for a living history I will be doing there this january.
the fort is going to provide the artillery Frock. Im just getting a new Hardee and dark blue trousers.

Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

Not sure I'm familiar with "4rd." Does seem awesone, though, Millander. Originally, I wanted to do ACW reenacting, but decided I'd rather do WW2, seeing as how expensive ACW reenacting is. But, at this point, it would have cost the same. Lol. :P

Are those prices legit? Because if so then re-enacting kit over here is incredibly expensive.

This isnt a really high end Sutler. I like to get mainstream stuff when it gets the job done for a side impression. Civil War is on average less expensive than Napoleonic due to a wider market and the clothing was made back then to be cheap and practical for the most part compared to Napoleonic Uniforms.

I kinda find ww2 more expensive than acw. (Damn high shipping price) but its only costing more because there's a lot more stuff issued in ww2.

However i'm thankful uniforms can go up to 200 while my acw uniform goes to 400+.

Oooooh no no. I can assure you that they tried to make the uniforms as cheap as they could. Including paying people china-wages and getting awfully cheap wool. The lining on the edges of the wool is there not just for decoration - The wool would tear easily if it wasn't there. The only difference is that they were, as you said, more complicated and they weren't machine made due to...lack of machines.

Looks good for a side-impression, I agree. No use in spending a mountain of cash on something you'll just use a few times. I wish it as easy (and as useful) to start something extra here.
So you people got cannons too?  :P
