King or Killed?

Well I was listing to a podcast last night and the question came up. If you went back in time to 1100 what three things would you bring that has to fit in a backpack or pocket. What would you try to do? Who would you speak to? And at the end of the day/life would you be King or killed?

What's the podcast's name? And depending on where I was sent back to (like where I live now in America or where my ancestors would have been in Europe?) I think the items might vary. And I have a pretty weak personality, so I don't know if I'd survive without having to do unlawful deeds. Probably what comes to mind would be a relevant history book, modern medicine like antibiotics, and some form of steel sword since ammunition would eventually run out.
