Science takes problems and solves them. The effects of the solution may cause more problems but once again science will be what solves the problem of pollution. Science may have caused pollution in the first place but it makes modern society the amazing (and temporary) powerhouse that it is. Science may have caused a few problems but they have not caused the overwhelming majority of the worlds problems. The progress and positives of science outweigh the negatives. Greed, religion and stupidity are the opposite of this.
