Recieved my pokalem today :D

Got to say about Val Richards, she makes quality stuff, and packages REALLY well, it took me 5 minutes solid to get to the pokalem.

So now thats pretty much my drill gear sorted apart from gaiters and cartridge box.

Okay, I'm not trying to be a dick, but you know that's historically not correct, right? They didn't use cotton. They used linen.

I mean, I have no problem with being having inaccurate stuff or whatever, my gear sure as hell isn't 100% accurate, but it annoys me a bit when people tell visitors their gear is very accurate or even 'just like then' while a closer examination proves very differently. That honor goes to those people who spend thousands of pounds, dollars of euros and hours of bloody work in getting their gear really as close to 100% accurate as possible.

The beginnings of your uniform there Mortem? :)

And Duuring, feeling the fabric I believe it is linen, get that sand out of your vagina.

Mr. T, there is no reason for such an attitude. We know Duuring is very "up-to-date" with what's correct and not, and when you're here talking with other reenactors, be prepared to be told something doesn't look right... Shit, I've just started getting my impression together, and have already dealt with "that's not right/that's Chinese crap/etc." Just relax.

Also, I suggest you don't make personal taunts to Duuring, because I and the rest of the 1. Sturmdivision "Duuring Boven!" will find you, and make disappear. ;)

That's why I asked you what it was. I didn't jump to conclusions right away.  :P

I'm not really one to talk, but why is ACW filled with extremely fat old men with ragtag beards? At least I'm 6'4.5", so it's hard to tell I'm fat, even 20 pounds lost makes me look really skinny. But, one of the things that deterred me from doing ACW reenacting, besides how overly-expensive it is, is the fat old men.
