It's cold. It's snowing. It's a re-enactor.

There's something really cool about Napoleonic re-enactment in winter weather. Dunno what it is.

Snow is a disaster for infrastructure and transport, but it looks pretty cool.

I have some hopes that it will snow at Loevestein on the 23rd of feb, though that will probably end up as another smashed dream.

Damned...I found someone with my last name in a newspaper article printed on the 29th of November 1813...As one of the four appointed Captains of the newly raised 5th Batallion Amsterdamse Schutterij that would fight at the Siege of Naarden the following months...

But as far I can tell from my family tree, the guy whose first name starts with the 'W' (All the newspaper says), isn't directly related to me. In fact, he seems to be from an entire different branch of the family. So the changes I'm related to him are very slim...But still. I knew there was a reason why I was so interested in the Amsterdam Schutterij. Really got a geek-boner for them.

He, I have a teacher with the same last name as me but I'm pretty sure we aren't related.

My last name is pretty unique but there are a few different branches.

This guy was also a Freemason. IT'S CONSPIRACY TIME!

Had to photoshop some visitors out. Damn I suck at photoshop. Luckily FSE makes the photo small.
