good read  :D

The clique part was interesting.  i really don't think there are cliques because then they would only hang out with there own group. And that is not true at events,  but it is true that there are lots of 'Types" at events.

clique,, clique, clique, clique, clique
ain't nobody fresher than my muthafuckin
clique, clique, clique, clique, clique

The cliques are there, but it's everyone working above and beyond that that is really well for the hobby.
Humans are extremely complicated creatures. Death uncomplicates them to a frightening degree...

I am going to wait for the day Duuring will rage on this forum because his hat flew off whilst riding.
Probably one of the very few old-timers here who hasn't been a regimental leader.

Double post, but worth is

http://www.hmsacasta.com/2013/12/the-7-worst-things-about-being-reenactor.html

Dat packing tho, Good thing im a campaigner, all ye need is yo' uniform and a knapsack packed with shelterhalf and blanket, also your gears thats it. Dont need no stinkin field kitchen.

I hate those porta potty during summer, event host are fkkin evil most of hte time. Place them porta out under the sun! Smell like hell and brimstone for satan's arse. Good thing for some reason i do not have to go number 2 during a event for some reason, but i do number 1 in the wood alot. Gotta water dem trees you know.

1.Be 18 or older to use a fire arm for re-enacting

:D :D :D No more "accidental" firing into our backs , and people who are actually taller than the muskets
