Getting a Wombough Shell Jacket?
Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

I own several firearms including muskets but I don't do re-enactment cuz I'm too pro for that shit.
I don't do re-enactments because I don't have the Gear.. which I hope to get. And Why the Hell do you have muskets "Just Layin' 'ound"?

Because they're fun to shoot.

Duuring, you might find this interesting; apparently there's a group down here (or at least there was, they may be inactive, I dunno) that does a Dutch regiment from WWII.

No-one would want to re-enact the Dutch in WW2, so it is probably inactive =D
Probably one of the very few old-timers here who hasn't been a regimental leader.

I think it was the 5th. I'll see if I can find their website again.

Edit: Here's a Dutch reenactor forum (seems largely inactive though) containing some information on them: http://dutchreenactors.proboards.com/index.cgi

Their website link there doesn't seem to work though. :/
Hey! It's working now: http://www.5rinederlandse.org/

I've seen them before at a living history a few years ago. Too bad early war is fringe with very little events.

Well, it would be a bit weird if at 95% of the WW2 events the Dutch army would be present.

That being said, if you ever meet (one of) these people, be sure to give them my sincere gratitude for making sure the Dutch role in WWII is not forgot.

What role?

The role of being almost literally too incompetant to defend your own country?

That's a pretty heavy insult to those men who fought and died during the May invasion and the liberation as independent brigades of the Allied army. The Dutch air force has relatively (To her own size) brought the most German planes down, and together with the army managed to hold the Netherlands 5 days (while Germany had thought they could defeat the Netherlands in one day), allowing the Queen and Parliament to escape to Britian where especially the Queen remained a symbol of Dutch resistance. Most importantly, the army could have fought on for several days at the minimum - It was the bombardment of Rotterdam that forced the Dutch surrender.

Not to mention the Dutch resistance and the Armed forces of the Dutch indies. Parts of the KNIL Airforce even escaped to Australia and fought on for the remainder of the war as their own squadron.

Your statement shows of very little knowledge and respect.

I've read first hand accounts of the 1.SS LAH in the Netherlands fighting tooth and nail with the Dutch and they respected them for their fighting abilities. In their own thoughts, they regretted that they had to fight the Dutch and wished that they had allied themselves with the Germans as to not have to fight such a honorable and professional fighting force.
