California is probably the state I would decide to spend several years in once I'm economically stable. Until then, it's the big city for me! (Philly or NYC. Being in New Jersey and right next to these two cities (making it the most densely populated area in the country, and probably one of the most densely populated areas in the world) is pretty good for a person like me who wants to make a career in music, which often requires an audience to make it a career.)
