Quote
12. No posting of National Socialist imagery, symbols or right wing opinions or representation that may glorify or seek to represent elements of former Nazi Germany.
In many countries such symbols and imagery are banned particularly in Germany where FSE's host servers are based. At the end of the day this is a forum for the enjoyment of FSE products and not a platform for political discourse. FSE does not wish to contravene Germany's strict policies in regards to Strafgesetzbuch section 86a and thus requests that its users adhere to this policy as part of the terms of service agreement.

Am i the only one worried about being Right-winged is now not allowed, yet the Left-winged can do whatever they want?

Or did they mean just no right winged opinions linked to Nazi Germany?

I guess fascism is now equivalent to Nazism, back off guys.

I agree with Riddlez. It should be marked as mature content. Since apparently, not everyone is able to withstand arguments and notions that go against their beliefs, so they flock to report opinions that they don't like, which gives moderators the impression that the thread is out of control when actually it is only some people who use the Report tool as a weapon when they have no compelling arguments to use against their ideological counterparts. It is not a problem of the thread itself, but rather one of the people who even though most of them hold the best intentions when posting their opinion, they end up not being mature enough to handle a civil discussion. Nevertheless, I still hold the conviction that intellectual conversations can be handled in the off topic section, basing myself in many good opinions I've seen there.
Indeed. Maybe just add some kind of timer to the report button.

I believe there is a timer already, spamming the report function isn't the problem. It's the content of the report.

Both threads were closed because we saw pretty explicit statements of homophobia from one poster and the other poster who will not be named was racial profiling. The main one may be reopened again when we quite frankly purge the most offensive content from it.

Also, when people casually start boasting about burning hypothetical religious buildings it might be time for us to consider why we are letting you people debate such mature topics at all. It seems some of you are sadly unsatisfied, have you considered maybe joining an online community about open online political debate if you want to truly voice your views no matter what?

Instead of a gaming forum?

Is your maximum ambition to ban any kind of political discussion?! I'm sorry, but since you became a moderator you have done nothing but censoring words that are tolerable, not outrageously bad as you try to paint them, yet what buggers me most is that you're always trying to lock any kind of interesting political discussion, even when they're being handled in a civil manner. Unless you suddenly make some new kind of ridiculous rule that completely bans political discussions, people will keep giving their input onto those threads, and righfully so.  ;)

Indeed.

Just but a "mature content" marker or whatever and just leave it. If you know your limitations and know you are easily offended, just ignore it.

Yeah because just because it's marked as mature content insults are okay.
Also last time I checked burning down religious buildings have nothing to do with politics.

Punish the criminal, not the group. If someone says something offensive just boot him out onto the curb and leave the rest of us sensible people in peace.

You guys are clearly missing the point. You can talk nonsense all you want. But some of you seem to think it is alright to go over board and post offensive stuff that would clearly end any civilized debate.

There is 'I disagree with your opinion, here is my own' which I've seen some posters do and there is 'I hate them types and will burn their stuff!' which I've seen in the last 24 hours. The latter is the problem. No forum would have that. Have some self moderation people if you actually to talk these things out seriously. Half of you are constantly upset by this thread the other half think it is your divine right.

Oh and treating the board moderation with disdain really isn't helping matters too I might add. Be patient and we'll sort this out, don't start insulting us because it gets you nowhere.
