I've already talked to regiments and we're planning for 8-12, I may as well post the plan for the format. The thread should be up in a few days.
Option 1: Group Stage
8 regiments:
2 groups, 4 regiments per group.
Top 2 seeds of each group continue to the playoffs
There will be one playoff bracket.
10 regiments:
Same format only this time the top 3 seeds of each group will continue to the playoffs.
Option 2:
12 regiments:
2 Groups, 6 Regiments per group
The top 4 of each group will continue to the playoffs.
There will be two playoff brackets.
1st & 2nd seeds of each group go to the professional bracket playoff
3rd & 4th seeds of each group go to the semi pro bracket playoff
This way the league will only last 6-8 weeks we hope
The Semi-Pro & Pro playoffs won't have anything to do with each other. Each will have their own 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winner.
The groups won't be 2 different league as in the sense of League 1(good regs) League 2(not so good). The skill of regiments will be spread out as best as possible to make it balanced and give everyone a chance, obviously there will be a couple regs that will be much better than some. We'll do out best to give every regiment a chance.
