A buddy of mine is planning on making the black watch for liagle and im helping him out. Could you folk help me by posting an account of the black watch on the Waterloo campaign and preferably quarte bras? Would be appreciated.
Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

Best of luck to him in reserving the name when the time comes, I admit I'm a bit nervous about trying to get one of the represented regiments in time!

I found this as a book preview, and it seems to contain some information.
http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=1PBP-ocpbM4C&pg=PA23&lpg=PA23&dq=Black+Watch+Quatre+Bras+accounts&source=bl&ots=_yH8CP38mI&sig=19UtteXf3F-nwSucecak_g3Sjsg&hl=en&sa=X&ei=GHaHUZSPG4TCPIWsgbgJ&ved=0CHIQ6AEwBw#v=onepage&q=Black%20Watch%20Quatre%20Bras%20accounts&f=false

If the regiment's for L'aigle though, perhaps their action during Corunna would be more apt. This page might be of some help in tracking their movements and achievements.

Regardless, there's also this painting. Paintings are always useful if you need to pretty up a forum page.

Good luck to him getting the 42nd, I know of about 3 different parties who are in some form of shadow war to get it.

Humans are extremely complicated creatures. Death uncomplicates them to a frightening degree...
