steam is not letting me log on? :/

my steam wont let me log in, it keeps saying that im not connected to the internet or my internet is not properly configured for steam
i think it might be the later so my question is does anyone know how i change my network configuration for steam. (my internet is working fine)
im not sure if this is the right place to post this sorry in advance.

I had the same problem some days ago. Try to delete the clientRegistry.blob and then restar steam it should work normal again

Also try to post the same question on the steam forums. You will probably get a much more helpful answer since the guys over there will now what they are talking about
