Regiments / 1st Regiment of Grenadier Guards [EU] | Enlist Today
« on: August 21, 2017, 08:49:26 am »

"Honi soit qui mal y pense" (French);
"Shame be to he who thinks evil"

The 1st Regiment of Grenadiers Guards is an elite Napoleonic Wars EU regiment of grenadier guards reknowned for their discipline, professionalism, loyalty & espirit de corps. Experience shows that the fighting spirit of the individual man in battle derives largely from his loyalty to his regiment. Our regiment carries traditions of glory which inspire and maintain that esprit de corps so valuable in the hour of peril, so animating in the crisis of battle. Regimental traditions are important to morale, esprit de corps and operational effectiveness.

Regimental History

The Grenadier Guards trace their lineage back to 1656, when Lord Wentworth's Regiment was raised in Bruges, in the Spanish Netherlands (present-day Flanders), from gentlemen of the Honourable Artillery Company by the then heir to the throne, Prince Charles (later King Charles II) where it formed a part of exiled King's bodyguard. A few years later, a similar regiment known as John Russell's Regiment of Guards was formed. In 1665, these two regiments were combined to form the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards, consisting of 24 companies of men. Throughout the 18th century, the regiment took part in a number of campaigns including the War of Spanish Succession, the War of Austrian Succession and the Seven Years' War. At the end of the Napoleonic Wars, the regiment gained the name "Grenadier" in July 1815 following a Royal Proclamation.

Availability status: 3 servers available!

Our regiment (The 48th Highlanders) has purchased a fairly expensive dedicated hardware recently in Europe (Northern France) and have the ability to host multiple game servers. The hardware is top notch and the game servers run with no lag, has full DDoS protection and rarely crashes.

In order to help offset the cost for our regiment, we are looking for any regiments that may be interested in an inexpensive but great quality NW server. We are specifically looking for regiments that require a large server (200+) slots and we are willing to offer this to them for 10£/month.

Your server will be given an entire CPU thread to run on, and will perform better than 99% of other server hosts. Other server hosts tend to put multiple servers on one CPU thread to maximize their profits (or it costs extra to have your own thread), but we are not trying to profit and are only here to serve the regimental community and offer a low-cost solution to the community's server needs.

Please keep in mind that this offer is limited, and it will be first-come-first-serve.

If this sparks your interest, please contact me on Steam.
