Competitive NA Events/Tournaments / Chef Tagpro League

What is Tagpro?

The objective of the game requires you and your teammates to work together and bring the enemy team's flag back to your own flag to score points. Everyone's a ball that rolls around trying to do this and people can pop each other and we know it sounds stupid but trust us it's great

Date and Time

TBD

Rules

A. Teams and League Structure
    1. Teams start with 100 Shekels which are used to bid/buy, trade, and loan players
        a. Shekels can be carried over from the draft phase to the main playing phase
        b. Shekels are gained inversely proportional to your week rank (Rank*3)(1st get 3, 2nd gets 6, etc.)
    2. There are probably going to be 6 people drafted per team with 4 starting teams; any people left over from the draft are subject to become free agents
        a. Free agents that a team wishes to be buy are subject to a 2 day bidding period after the nomination
    3. Teams have to have at least 5 permanent players on their roster at any time
        a. This figure does not factor in loaned players

B. Draft
    1. Players have to registered for the draft before (Date)
        a. Any players that register after that date are free agents
    2. The Auction Draft will last 3 rounds with all players being randomly assigned a position in the draft; once the first (Amount of teams*3 players) players are nominated, a "Snake" Draft will commence
        a. In the Auction Draft, captain's nomination order will be randomly assigned
            - Any captains
        b. In the "Snake" Draft, the captain with the least amount of players will pick until he equal to the second ammount etc.
            - If tied, the captain with the greater Shekel count goes first

C. Matches
    1. Required Game Settings

        -  Powerup delay set to "1 minute" or "60 seconds"
    2. Each match consists of two 10 minute halves. Teams play one half on Server A, then one half on Server B
        a. If no server is able to be decided upon, use this chart determine what server the games are played on: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/180CWyXdge418MWPJW0BpZxUp-38vSh8qikMtcT-CwWU/edit#gid=0
        b. Both captains should screenshot the end result of each half in case of disputes
        c. If the Score is tied at the end of the 2
        d. Wins are worth 3 points, Ties are worth 1 point and Losses 0 points.
    3. Teams must be able to field four players for every half. Introduction

As opposed to NANWL, this will be good. I wish for there to be lots of halfway decent times and some decent times with a few good ones sprinkled throughout. Some times may result in juicy, juicy drama but that does not mean that you people should become bumbling, window lickers. Have fun and don't be too terrible!

Now to the part where I tell you about the format. It's gonna be a standard league. So round robin. Maybe a little different in the fact that there will be a play off. Now some of you are going to be complaining that the league doesn't really matter. Well that's where you are wrong. The league sort of matter because it determins who you play. 1st seed will play 4th seed and 2nd will play the 3rd or something to that effect. This is for a one League system. So if we have above a certain number, like 12ish we will have to form a separate league/division thing. If above like 16ish or so, this has to be ironed out, top 8 will get into the end of league tournament to determine the champion of the world. You guys get how it is.

The start date is June 5th.

Rules

Spoiler
  • No shooting while charging or while you are out of formation. Officers, and only officers, may fire their pistol while in melee. However, they may not reload.
  • Reloading out of line is against the rules.
  • No shooting while in melee. A melee is where one bayonet or sword from either line strikes the player or weapon of the opposing team.
  • No officer aim. Punishment for officer aim can vary from a slay to reset depending on the importance of the officer. If you are leading the line but not an officer class then slays or OA resets will not be given.
  • Officers that are clearly charging are fair game!
  • Regular line infantry only! No skirmishers, light infantry, sailors, or guard infantry
  • No bonuses, musicians, or flag bearers.
  • Filling in gaps while in a firefight is not mandatory. However, there can be no spacing when you first line up.
  • Both leaders have to agree on the map.
  • 10 rounds will be played. After the 5th round, sides will be swapped.
  • Only 'Random x Medium' maps with low vegetation are to be used.
  • A referee needs to be present at every match
  • At the beginning of the round, the difference in numbers may only be ONE man.
  • Each regiment will have 1 week to complete their match. If an extension is needed, contact a moderator or post on this thread.
  • If a regiment does not appear on the scheduled time, they will forfeit the match.
  • Invites and mercenaries are not allowed!
  • Having members that are in 2 or more regiments, which are apart of the premier league, is against the rules! Those people who are in multiple regiments will be banned and if the regiments knowingly accepted someone from another regiment just so as to play the person, they can be banned too! European and Australian players are allowed.
  • If regiments are tied with wins and losses than the regiment with the most rounds won is ahead of the other.
  • The results of a match will be posted here.
  • If a regiment has a complaint, they must supply proof (video or screenshot)
  • Both the referees and opposing regiments should be treated with respect. If there was a problem, please file a complaint AFTER the match.
  • Regiments will provide us with a complete roster of their players.  This way we can insure that the players you're playing are really yours and we don't have trolls and double reggers in the match.
  • Only those on the roster can play
  • Temporary match bans may be given when a regiment experiences a large influx of players. For example, if a regiment disbands and all their members then join a different reg, those players may receive a 2 game ban .
  • A regiment has to field a minimum of 10 men. If a regiment cannot then they are allowed to continue but the opposing regiment is allowed to field 11 men.
(Ex. If a re has 8 people then the opposing regiment can field 11)
  • A regiment cannot willingly drop members of their regiment to force the opposing regiment to drop their members.
(ex. A regiment has 20 people. They drop 5 forcing the opposing regiment to drop 5.)
  • A regiment can only stay on a hill for 2 minutes unless they are actively engaging the enemy. This does not mean that they are shooting across the map at the enemy.

What the fuck is Tagpro?

Tagpro is basically CTF with powerups and balls. The objective of the game requires you and your teammates to work together and bring the enemy team's flag back to your own flag to score points. Everyone's a ball that rolls around trying to do this and people can pop each other and I know it sounds stupid but trust me it's great.

Date and Time

May 6th, 9ish pm EST

Rules

1. The tournament will probably be 4v4

2. 10 minute games. 5 min overtime period (repeat as needed); Finals will be BO3 while all other rounds are 1 game each.

3. Maps
     Round 1: Trebuchet
     Round 2: Star
     Round 3: Boombox

4. Default Server is Origin; Servers can be negotiated between the teams.

5. Referees and organizers will use common sense throughout the tournament, their calls count, so respect their decisions.

The Tournament will be a draft. It's a draft. It's pretty self explanatory. If you don't know however, the tournament is when a number of captains will choose 4 or more teammates from the selected pool of peoples. It's a snake format with the order of the captains being selected via a randomized list or something like that.
