« on: December 05, 2017, 06:52:47 pm »
Hello there,
if you have made uniforms/weapons/any other graphical items you think are good enough to be included in the game, and want to see added, please contact me via PM or in this Thread. I will take a look at them and if they are good enough I include them in in the next patch!

Mapping / Help with maps for new NW Patch.
« on: December 05, 2017, 06:49:31 pm »
Hello there.
It would be great if you guys could help us out with making some new maps for the upcoming NW patch.

What I am looking for are:

1.) Any map you have already finished and think is good enough to be an official NW map.
2.) I need new maps for a new gamemode we are planning. The maps will have to be made on the largest map size possible, and they will have to include villages/houses/farms etc. more or less evenly spread over the whole map. If you include water in your map, make sure that there are enough boat spawns around for players to be able to get on it.
3.) Any maps that you are currently running on your server and think are good enough for the NW patch. If they are good enough we will include them in the official patch and your players will not longer have to download them! (This does NOT include training maps)

Please send me those maps either in this thread or as PM.
I will look over them and include them in the game if they are good enough.

Clans / Arma 3 anyone?
« on: September 01, 2016, 12:15:44 am »
So we are currently in the mood of playing Arma3 in our freetime, but we are missing players... We are just 2-3 guys most of the time, so yeah. Not that great.

We are playing with a few mods, the standard stuff, MCC, CUP, ACE3 etc.
Not using Radio mods for now, after all this is not supposed to be super serious anyway. Just doing some fun missions, that's all.
And hey, you can annoy us on TS about not finishing BCoF fast enough, that's always fun, I guess.

So if any of you guys are interested just post here or write me a PM or write me in Steam.
Once we got a few guys together we can see when everyone has time so that we could play once a week or so... Or more often if you want to play more often.
And I will obviously share the modlist :P

We obviously have a TS server, and we can even host a dedicated server if necessary, though I think not. All of us got a good internet connection and good PCs, so hosting over the internet is no problem at all.

Remember we are EU, but if you want to take part from the US or so you can obviously do that. In fact, since I am up all night anyway, if it turns out that most of you are from America we could just do it at a time that suits you Americans best.

I think that's it. Thanks.

You can achieve the ranks below by spending a specific amount of time actively browsing or posting on our forum. Please do note that leaving the browser window open will not increment the time spent and therefore won't help you with achieving a higher rank. We have decided to refrain from using a post count based ranking system to encourage you to post only when it matters and therefore reduce the number of off-topic posts.

Historical Reenactment / Historical Food/Cooking
« on: August 20, 2014, 09:27:21 pm »
Does anyone know where that Historical Food/Cooking is? I can not find it anymore. Anyway, since I can not find it anymore, lets make a new one.

I just received all kinds of cooking gear for our Napoleonic Wars impression. We should be able to to everything on our own now, and do not depend on other peoples pans and pots.. :P

Also, in terms of cooking, I am wondering. What do you guys do at events? Do you try to cook with historical equipment only, and historical foods? For example, only with food that has actually been issued to the soldiers back then? Or do you just cook all kinds of stuff, including modern food, and food that was not issued to people back in the day?

Do you cook on the fire, using pans, or other equipment or do you use modern camping gear? Do you cook at all?

Now that we have the cooking gear, I want to cook as much on the fire as possible. I want to cook some accurate stuff, i.e. stuff only made out of the actual soldiers rations, but what I also would really like to cook is some period accurate stuff. Which means that it is accurate to the timeframe we have chosen to portray, but not all of the food might have been available to the common soldier.
What really bugs me sometimes is that while the 85e is cooking on the fire, using old pans etc., the group is not trying to cook anything that is remotely period accurate. When I am cooking for myself I would like to cook period accurate stuff. There are so many nice recipes that you can use, that taste great and are easy and fast to make. And tbh., the soldiers rations aren't too bad either. Whats wrong with meat and bread, right?

Iron Europe / Iron Europe - WW1 Mod Patch 1.1 released!
« on: February 15, 2014, 11:25:48 pm »
Hello there everyone!
First of all, we are very sorry for the bugs and performance issues that you had to face the last 24 hours. We have spent all day to fix the most urgent bugs and performance issues. Hopefully, this patch should fix most of the existent bugs, balance the game a little bit and solve the performance issues on both the client and the server.

Client performance:
Performance for Client has been increased by removing a lot of unnecessary data that was loaded into the game at start up. Memory usage should now be much lower (Just 1000mb compared to the 1400 we had before.) We have also increased performance by adjusting shaders and slightly fixed the rigging of several of the french uniforms.

Server performance:
The Server should now also perform much better than before. We have reworked large parts of our code. For example, for just the reloading system we reduced the code from 500 to 100 lines and got rid of more than 240 events!

We have also changed the Balance slightly. To nerf the Sniper class we made it impossible to look through the scope while bolting and reloading the gun. This will make sure that snipers will have to re target their aim after every shot.
Additionally we changed the Ammo counter presentation to be easier to understand for new players. It will now show both the bullets left in your inventory and the bullets left in your magazine.
We also fixed all battle spawns on all maps and did several minor tweaks to some of them.
We also made the French LightMachinegunners slightly stronger. They will now be able to properly aim and shoot while walking.

Anyway, here is a list of changed/added features:
- Added some active and alive agent and players checks to a few client side events
- You can no longer attach bayonets to the Chauchat
- Fixed the bandages and morphine killing people when healing/giving morphine (basically now they deal no damage)
- Removed shell in air loop sound
- Nerfed snipers by removing the scope presentation once fired
- Fixed the animations for shooting with MGs
- Made the ammo counter presentation slightly different and more intuitive for players to understand
- Fixed Battle Spawns on all maps
- Fixed sound bugs on Belgian Forest (Storm map)
- Removed all useless local sounds from maps.
- Possibly fixed crashes and lags client issues
- General performance enhancement
