Well ladies, its that time of the year again. Myself and Herishey are proud to bring you the 9th Regimental Groupfighting tournament.
This is myself and Herishey's 6th season at the helm and we would like to thank all who hosted before us.

Tournament Date: Sunday 10th of Febuary 10/02/2019
6:30GMT

Rules

1. Rules are the standard for a groupfight. Teamhitting, Teamkilling or just general trolling will result in your teams immediate removal from the tournament. Admins are to be listened too at all times.

2. Matches will be ft5 during the group-stage, matches will be ft7 during the knock-out stage and ft10 in the finals.

3. There will be a group-stage and a knock-out stage (there will be 4groups of 4 regiments).
3b. We will try our best to balance, however we cannot guarantee anything.

4. Rosters will be locked 30 minutes before the event. Players can not be taken off or added after this unless under extreme circumstances (Highly unlikely).

5. Only 10 members in your regiment can play for your regiment. No "invites". They need to be fully devoted to your regiment.
5a. All participants must have been in your regiment for at least 7 days.

6. Only use of the 45e and 33rd units. Its a simple rule to follow, anyone caught another unit will be slayed even if it is during a round.

7. No trash-talk (banter is fine). This rule is for use at the admins discretion, following rule 1.

What would you guys like to see in 2019? I was thinking of doing a mini EIC in Q1 or something along those lines. I'm not sure if there will be another NWL before the EU comp scene dies out.

Do you guys want a GF Tourney or a 1v1 tourney?

Why the GF Edition of EIC was canceled
I ended up canceling the EIC Groupfighting Edition because Phoenix and the others decided to make another season of RGL despite me asking Phoenix and he said "No I don't plan on it"

Then like a day after making the thread I got angry messages from the other co hosts before they put up their own thread so I just let it be :)

That trailer, now I try not to get hyped on games, but fuck me it looks good.

CD Projekt Red should hopefully live up to expectations. This looks like what I would have wanted Deus Ex to be.

So this was just announced:

I think it will be cool. Single player, you play as a Jedi after order 66. I think we need a good single player star wars so lets hope.

WHAT IS WORLD WAR 3?

World War 3 is a multiplayer military FPS set in a modern, global conflict. Strong teamplay, national armed forces, real locations, full body awareness, and a versatile customization system all contribute to the authenticity of the modern combat experience enhanced by other essential elements such as a robust ballistic system, advanced armors and life-like weapons.

Produced in cooperation with military R&D centers and consultants, World War 3 shows the consequences of every battle in the context of a global war campaign on a strategic war map.

TWO GAME MODES

World War 3 presents a modern conflict with tactics, techniques and procedures inspired by true combat engagements. All of this packed into two exciting game modes. Warzone offers opportunities for dynamic, intense firefights in teamwork-focused battles of infantry and armored units over fortified points. The tactically-oriented Recon allows players to cooperate within small reconnaissance squads left on their own to survive and capture high-value targets in hostile territory. Together these modes create a coherent gameplay experience aimed at presenting the actual feel of modern warfare.

We are happy to announce the first edition of EIC's Groupfighting tournament. A regimental Groupfighting tournament just like RGL.

Season 2 of EIC was a good place to start in terms of 3 main things:

1. Seeding Groups - The best way possible to seed the groups while keeping it competitive for everyone
2. Tournament Format - The format that would best be used to maximize the enjoyment yet competitiveness of EIC
3. Skill Levels - Seeing how regiments perform in the first edition (ik its season 2) of the tournament being under this format.
Which will give us a better idea of how to seed further seasons and this.

What can we expect to see differently in the format?

We feel as though making the groups 5 in size, rather than 4, with the bottom regiment not advancing to either the upper, nor lower brackets.
I feel as though this gives abit more incentive to play the best that you can in the group stages. As currently you are on a win-win in some form no matter what the outcome is.

Group Stage - Bo20 - Theres no point in doing groups if you can't draw?

Play-Offs - FT15

The minimum attendance will be 12, not 15.

Start date?
Late July, Early August. 1 month after EIC Season 2 ends.

Why are you already looking to create another tournament before your last one ends? What about RGL?

Obviously I can't speak for everyone, but after speaking to alot of leaders, there's not a ton of love for the standard League formatting. I think this is because of no matter what, you can expect to be lumped in with regiments strictly out of your caliber. Whereas with the EIC format, theres alot more freedom for even groups where everyone has a chance to come out on top of a bracket. Obviously we have to make do with the list of regiments that sign up.

There are also a few regiments out there that did not participate in EIC Season 2 that would most likely be up for this (K-KA for example). So I just want to show that we are giving some love out to those who enjoy Groupfighting abit more than 1v1's, even if personally as a leader I enjoy a more intimate style of gameplay, such as leading 1v1's.

Hence, why we are announcing this now. Just to let everyone know to expect it.

Señor, I have a question/Suggestion

Feel free to let us know that you are interested, or have a suggestion on what we could do differently in the groupfighting edition. Not just in terms of format, but any suggestions that may be interesting on top of the regular GF format.

Events: EU / FSE CS:GO Open - Prize Pool - Groups: June 8th-31st
« on: May 07, 2018, 06:20:54 pm »

Well lads, I thought why not have abit of fun with a CSGO Tourney.

If NA's want to sign up then you can, although beware that when playing against EU's you will need to play on NL servers.
Although of course against any other NA teams you can use an NA server.

Start Date: June 8th!!!

Brackets/Match Format:

Brackets

Will be a round robin group stage with a play off final stage. How many teams in a group and how many teams in the play off depends on how many teams sign up.

There will be a timeframe to complete your group stage matches in. For example, 5 matches in 2-3 weeks. Plenty of time, I play 5 matches a day sometimes ::)

All matches will be a bo1 with the final of the play offs being a bo3.

Sign Ups:
Only requirement is that people are active in NW. Doesn't have to be regiments.
You could have 4 teams from the same regiment if you like.
