Regiments / Re: Looking for a regiment or members? Than post here!

I'm looking for an older regiment that has a strong, laid back community.
I have played since MM and recently took a break from the community and would like to ease back in with a well established regiment that isn't too hectic.

For the internet and in particular this game I was very surprised to see someone from the same county.

Waterside area, went to Hythe air cadets.
The ACF down in Hythe are really wierd though, was doing a parade and the guy calling step was a huge fat guy in a really old DPM smock. It was ridiculous.
EDIT: My dad is ex regular and now TA, the officers are also not real RAF but I don't think anyone in at the Wing liked the guy because he was such a dick.

I did Air cadets for about 6 months, but the Flight Lieutenant was an absolute arsewipe so I left.
Best bit was my dad, an Army sergeant, had a massive go at him.  ;D

P.S I live close to you Hawke, very close...

Historical Discussion / Re: Favorite Weapon?

I have handled swords in many different castles across Britain and found the bastard my favourite because of this experience, I had a real feel for what the knights and soldiers of its day did with the weapon and it helped me to understand even further the capabilities it possessed and the hindrances the wielder had.

Handling the sword for just a few minutes really helped me to understand how effective plate armour had to have been and how effective the swordsman had to be.

The bastard sword is one of my favourites because of it's versatility and the power it beholds if wielded by a proffesional swordsman of it's era.
