Roger's Rangers

History
Rogers' Rangers was initially a provincial company from the colony of New Hampshire, attached to the British Army during the Seven Years' War (called the French and Indian War in the United States). The unit was quickly adopted into the British army as an independent ranger company. It was trained by Major Robert Rogers as a rapidly deployable light infantry force tasked mainly with reconnaissance as well as conducting special operations against distant targets. Their tactics, built on earlier colonial precedents, but codified for the first time by Rogers, proved remarkably effective, so much so that the initial company was expanded into a ranging corps of more than a dozen companies (containing as many as 1,200–1,400 men at its peak). The ranger corps became the chief scouting arm of British Crown forces by the late 1750s. The British valued them highly for gathering intelligence about the enemy.

Rules are pretty basic don't troll, FOL, do anything not commanded, etc... for the most part we're a pretty relaxed reg just don't be stupid. We usually have at least a line of 7. I don't know why but some people will only join big regiments, as if they need to be any bigger . We're a very tight-knit group so if any problems rise up they're usually dealt with immediately. Big decisions will usually come to a vote, as I like to keep a democracy for the most part. Ranks? Show me and/or any of the officers that you can do good in line battles and you get promoted a lot quicker. Recruiting also helps your rank. The only thing that will hurt it is being stupid. Anyway if you're looking for a cool reg with a lot o' spirit then add BB2214 on steam!

I regret to inform you that the 17thFLR will no longer be coming to this event... Sorry but it seems after I asked a couple people that I should continue doing my own event. I'm very sorry for any trouble I have caused, but to those of you thinking that I'm leaving because it's a bad event, you are WRONG. My regiment and I have enjoyed this event extremely. It's one of the only events where we can get into melee quick XD. But again I'm sorry... So yeah.
