What would be cool would be to implement a system that allows a clan (regiment) to make their own uniform(s) and use it, while the other peoples clients would run some kind of download the next time the game opens, much like how custom banners work in cRPG.

Very nice! I would tell you guys about the Marins' misadventures on the Friday line battle as a...line, but what happened is too traumatic to retell.
