The module is about muskets, so making a bayonet or a sword list would be just as irrelevant as each other. The original intention was large scale line battles, which involved both muskets and swords (for officers), only the community made the group fighting scene a thing; some group fighting also includes swords. In Native, spearmen are also considered in lists, even though you'd argue that Native is about swords.

That wasnt funny for us either tbh, we just got forced to play that way or get killed from any direction because of the hussar speed.
Im not gonna lie, before the lancer vote we decided to pick hussars this year.

Im not gonna write an essay on why lancers are broken with their big ass lances and unstopable reach and damage, but ill try to give it a quick run down. Yeah, if they get stopped they are likely dead, but so does any other class, and lets not forget that lancers can pull out swords. So we have a class more or less equal to hussars with the added reach and damage of a lance + couching. Its not gonna be fun, you will just find 12 lancers wich will out play you with their reach and couching. Also dismounted cavs are pretty much fucked aswell because of the couching.

Its not a step forward, its a step backward. They were banned for a reason.

Dont allow lancers, they were banned for a reason. Its just a broken class wich will force every other team to play lancer aswell.

What about the fact that we‘ve got another nation because of that tradeoff?

So what? Are we gonna break the cav meta just for one nation wich wants to be babysitted? Are we flyng that low, really? I cant just get into my brain how a group of suppossedly veterans of the cavalry community have allowed for lancers to be playable again, after all these years. A class wich is BROKEN in every sense and was banned because it made the rest of the classes useless. It has been proven before years ago and it will be proven again now in this tournament if you dont rethink about that decision.

It wont make the tournament diverse, It wont make the tournament fresh, It wont make the tournament better or more fun in any way. It will make it worse. I cant belive that i have to explain this dumb shit to a bunch of guys who have been playing cavalry for years. You should know this, lancers are just fucking basic, they are broken shit.

Glad to see another big tournament for the cavalry community. In spring another cnwl please, the cavalry community is still strong in numbers and regiments!
