Regiments / The Argyll & Sutherland highlanders [Recruitment Open]

I started up the Argyll and Sutherland highlanders regiment because I am very interested in this regiment, I love this regiment because it is one of the most renown regiments in the British army, it is a tough and brave regiment. So I want to represent this regiment in Iron Europe. What I plan to to do with this regiment is to provide a fun gaming experience for Iron Europe and a enjoyable atmosphere. Within this regiment no-one will be fast tracked up ranks or favoured, everyone is equal and will be treated as such. I have never liked people joining regiments then seeing them with a high rank because they are the regiment leaders friend, I want to see people earning there rank and placement within the regiment. No-one in this regiment will be fast tracked, everyone will start from Private, and people will have to show that they are wanting to continue up through the regiment. The way I like to run a regiment is to make sure it is organized, the worst thing is to have a disorganized regiment so If you plan on joining you can feel confident that you are joining a well organized regiment. I also make sure we are structured, a structured regiment means a more comfortable / easier experience, I don't want members to worry about anything or feel that people with responsibility don't know what they are doing. When we plan to do events I like to make sure everyone is notafied ASAP. It does not matter if you do not want to show up, Its completely understandable, people want to go do different things like everyone else. We plan to do Events on days that are suitable for most of the members. These days will most likely be Friday & Sunday.  I feel that training is not needed for Iron Europe because when people join this reg I hope they at least know how to run forward and shoot, because  if you may have noticed WW1 was not exactly a war based on outstanding tactics. It was mainly based on people running in a line hoping to god they did not get shot. So because of that I feel training will be unnecessary. All in all if you are looking for a regiment that is relaxing / trustworthy / stress free / enjoyable and overall just fun. Then I invite you to join give us a try.

Iron Europe / Free to use ranks for forum.

Hello,

Ive made these ranks for the 16th scot but I thought of just letting everyone else use them as well.

This is what I have done so far, If there is a rank missing you want added in dont hesitate to ask. If you want your Reg name on it just post your regiment name and Ill add it.

If you have any suggestions please suggest away, If you want something added to make it unique please dont hesitate to ask.

I may or may not do for another faction

If your using them gives a post to your forum thread, I want to see how good they will look

Forum & Website / Bully system

On some of theses topics I've seen some bullying going on and some inappropriate behaviour and I think there should be a system to report bullying to the forum heads or whatever or assing a few people to look threw a section of thread and see if there is any bullying of some sort and i have worked with a company called child Line and I look after there message boards.

So something has to be done here and if I could I would like to volunteer myself to look through the forum for bullying cause I don't take bullying lightly and I think it has to be delt with severely.

The Anglo-Zulu War / Questions regarding what can be implemeted into the game

Can you implement moving while crouching and maby lying down? Because I feel this will make the gameplay whole much better and the Zulu can properly hide and do ambushing tactics.

The Anglo-Zulu War / Is anyone cool with a Sat/Sun event at about 8pm GMT?

I was just thinking cause there is only 1 EU event every week I thought the 94th could host one ( we will have a 150 slot server before hand ),

The planned time is at 8pm GMT and we could use Custom maps and Game modes ( my planned game mode is Patrolling ill explain in detail later),

People can posts maps before the event and the Regiment's that take part can decide in a poll on the thread,

Its just a thought to see if anyone is free on a Sat/Sun at 8om GMT

History

After serving in Jersey, the 94th went to Lisbon and from there to Cadiz, in 1810, where is was distinguished at the sanguinary defence of Fort Matagorda before Joining Lord Wellington's army in the lines of Torres Vedras. 1n 1814 the regiment was posted to Ireland, where it remained through the Waterloo campaign and was disbanded on 24 December 1818.
The regiment was reformed in December 1823, in Glasgow. Of the initial appointments, two of the officers were taken from the half-pay list of the old 94th Foot (captain and ensign) and two had previous service in the 94th Foot (major and captain).
Following their reformation the regiment served in a variety of settings during the colonial period. In 1824 the regiment was posted to Gibraltar where it was presented with its new regimental colours, before returning to Ireland.
In 1838 the regiment was posted to Ceylon to relieve the 58th Regiment, then moved to Madras the year after and served in that Presidency for fifteen years, during which time it had some action in the Mappila riots.
In 1854, the regiment supplied volunteers to some units in the Crimean war, whilst service companies served in Gibraltar from September 1855, to June 1856. In October, 1857, the 94th was ordered to Karachi, whence it was afterwards transferred to Peshawar in the North-West Frontier region and in other parts of India and Aden, in the Yemen, until 1868.
On 26 May 1874 the Battle Honours and Distinctions of the old 94th were granted to the regiment. The following year, in 1875, the regiment adopted the diced band to their shako (the distinguishing mark of Lowland Scottish regiments) and was allowed to revive the Elephant and the Indian and Peninsular honours of the old 'Scotch Brigade'.
In 1879 the regiment fought in the Zulu War and took part in the First Boer War in 1880.

The Reason we Created this Regiment was to give people a fun and active regiment for people to participate in, although this regiment is fun/relaxed members are expected to not troll/muck about within the regiment and be active and show up to as many events as possible

Rules That MUST be followed

• You will not be Racist/offensive to any member of the regiment. We want to be a friendly open regiment
• You must be Attend the Majority of the Events available during the week. You may miss an Event with GOOD reason
• You must not ask if you can be promoted. That will just Ruin your chances
• You must not be Rude/Troll during Events to officers or anyone else attending the event. This will make the regiment look bad so you will be hated
