|Informations| We are the 72nd Regiment of Foot "Seaforth Highlanders". We are a german speaking Line-Infantry regiment which was founded on the 31/01/2015 mainly by ex-2Lhr Infantrymen. We are quite new but not unexperienced and we are getting stronger by every day. Our main goals are fun, discipline and competitive gameplay, to ensure this our main events are 1vs1 and Groupfighting matches, beside trainings. It remained there for much of the next 15 years, although it did join the invasion of Mauritius in 1810. A 2nd Battalion was raised in 1804. This spent most of its existence in Ireland before disbanding in 1816. The regiment also ceased to be a Highland regiment in 1809. After fighting in the Fifth Cape Frontier War (1818-19), the regiment returned to Britain in 1821. It regained its Highland dress and status in 1823. That same year it was re-named after Frederick Augustus, Duke of York and Albany, younger brother to King George IV and commander-in-chief of the British Army. It carried out sentry duty at the Tower of London before being sent back to the Cape Colony for 12 more years in 1828, going on to serve in the Sixth Cape Frontier War (1834-36). History of the 2Lhr Linebattles

History

The first Linebattle the 2Lhr hosted, was a Sunday Linebattle organised by Ben.
After a month of nice linebattles, we changed the day to Friday.
SwissGronkh got Head Organiser of the Event.
After we've seen, that people enjoyed our Firday Linebattle, we started to do a Wednesday Linebattle.
We're hosting our linebattles over 1 year now, so we are very experienced in balancing and admin an event

Line Infantry (min 5 max 40) Spoiler No fire in charge. You may not crouch. No shooting out of formation. You may not intentionally officer aim. Must join another line if less then 3 men remain. [close]

Light Infantry (min 5 max 15) Spoiler No shooting in charge. No shooting out of formation. May use 2 men spacings in their line (or double line) You are not allowed to spread and shoot alone, you have to move as unit (line/doubleline) May crouch You may not intentionally officer aim. [close] Skirmisher (min 5 max 15) Spoiler Must keep a reasonable formation when moving. May use 5 men spacings in their line. May fire in charge. May crouch. Can use landscape as cover. When 3 men or less, must join a line. [close]

Artillery (min 4 max 15) Spoiler May have a maximum of 8 Guards. Can only take cannon but you can only bring 2 pieces of artillery. Artillery guards may fight as skirmishers but should stick close to the guns. May bring 1 sapper. [close]

Cavalry (min 5 max 15) Spoiler Must stay in formation unless charging. After dropping below 3 players they must dismount & join a line on foot. Dragoons can fire from horseback(when standing still in line formation). Dismounted Dragoons are classed as Lights in terms of rules. [close]
