Regiment History
The 1st South Carolina was mustered into service January 3rd, 1861, being nicknamed "Gregg's First". The newly formed regiment was under the command of Colonel Maxcy Gregg. After forming, The regiment went marching off to fight in many battles such as the Battle of Fredericksburg, the Battle of Chancellorsville and the Battle of Gettysburg. During the course of the war, the 1st had many successful engagements, leading to the longevity of the regiment's service. The regiment was in service for the entire war until April 9th, 1865. Unfortunately on this grim day, the 1st was surrounded and forced to surrender at Appomattox Court House with 18 officers and 101 regulars.
About Us
A unit with rich history, we strive to provide a fun experience while still maintaining a superior level of communication and tactics. We are mainly NA East based but also have EU players! We also hold a 100 player server. The regiment would be labeled as a MILSIM in other communities, but seeing this is a historical regiment and game, the regimental leadership prefers to be considered a historically accurate regiment. The regimental leadership has a past in leadership within multiple communities, ranging from NW back in the day, and more modern day games such as Squad. If you are looking for a good group of guys, yet a serious historically accurate regiment during events, this is the regiment for you!
