Post by: TheBritishLoyalist on October 01, 2013, 12:23:13 am
these replace the british vanilla fife songs
1. British Grenadiers
2. Girl i left behind me
3. Minstrel Boy
4. World Turned Upside Down
5. Duke of York's March

just download the attachment and inside the RAR file is a file enter that and extract all the 5 OGG sound files into your Napoleonic Wars Sound Folder found at Steam/SteamApps/Common/MountBlade Warband/Modules/Napoleonic Wars/Sounds just replace them all and enjoy these wonderful fife tunes. these are real.

Nice work. May I ask: are you planning on adding fitting drum sounds with them?

Since I am a fifer, would it be possible to record some songs and convert them to OGG format and plug them in?

yes use a recorder and save the file then go to Youtube to OGG converter on the Internet, convert the file and name it like I did and replace the file in your Napoleonic Wars Sound folder. Easy!

I could record the drumming part, but I'll need a decent microphone and a good place to do it...

I have the drum though.

Drumming would indeed be nice. The standard drum audio sounds like you're playing a bloody tin can.

Excellent work, the standard pieces tend to get boring after a while.

Indeed! I have also made another British fife songs replacement mod.
It is for those patriotic Americans, I replaced the British fife songs with American 18th and 19th century fife songs. That other mod also works well with the AEF (American Expeditionary Force) mod

Sounds interesting, I will try it out sooner rather than later!  ;)
