What is this mod about?

Venture West is a Napoleonic Wars modification started by LeRoy O' Finnegan that hurls you into the historic year of 1875 during the American expansion into the West. Choose to play as a US Cavarlyman sent out into the Frontier to protect the settlements and citizens of the Western States or a Pioneer on the trail searching for a new life. You can also choose to play as an Indian while the various Native American Nations attempt to fight for their lost lands.

You are accepting to many people as testers. Testing needs to be done between a few dedicated people, no more than four or five, plus the mod team. Allowing everyone and anyone to test the mod will destroy its community when it is released. Too many people have played, thus ruining the excitement of the release. Either way, I'd offer my help for texturing, but I am so busy during the week due to a crazy job, and very tired too, to do anything other than "fat out" behind my computer.

Hi, im interested in this mod and wish you good luck in development. And would like to voice some opinions, firstly I love the way you have put the Indian Nations all under one banner like regiments from NW, the bit im a bit uncomfortable with is how uniformed they are. They are all the same just with different Names, I know most of these tribes would of been extremely similar culturally and weapons wise but for gaming aesthetics some variety between them would be brilliant. Say give the Arapahos a special warrior unit that is armed with throwing tomahawks and a choice of Melee weapons, the Comanche's along with some other tribes used buffalo skin shields while on horseback, so give them a cavalry class and a shield a spear and a one hander and make them really good shock cavalry. So keep the classes you have already, but add a special unit to all 5 of those tribes and it would be a mod I would play for absurd amounts of time  ;D. And looking from the regiments signups would give people more of an urge to play the Indian Nations. Again, good luck with the mod!
