Is there anyway you can get the character in the screen to join a server or host, where you can edit your character, make him n a british uniform instead of a french one? if anyone knows how to do that or if there are mods to do so let me know.

Yes, there is such way. You can do it yourself as it is very easy. Just download OpenBRF, open mm_french_uniforms.brf and mmbrituniforms.brf in another window. Then all you have to do is to copy one of british uniforms and paste it into mm_french_uniforms.brf. Next step is to rename this new uniform to character_uniform and delete old character_uniform. That's all. It's really easy, just give it a try :)
