2de Kurassier regiment
The cavalry has arrived, ... I've been telling everyone, 'Hold on. Hold on. Help is coming.'

Introduction
the 2nd Regiment of Cuirassiers is a Cavalry regiment based for Dutch and Belgian people.
We expect royal,active and displined members in the 2deK who are not childish but mature.
We will play in game as the French Cuirassiers. The 2deK will use Cavalry Formation's like the Wedge and Split Formation.
As heavy cavalry we will crush enemy line infantry ,skirmishers and artillery regiment's in the battlefield. Cuirassiers are armed with a heavy sword and good armor. the 2deK will not always play as heavy cavalry if our members feel to play as hussars we can do that if we want.

Are you going for the 2de Kurassiers? Or are you going for the more historic 2de Karabiniers? Made up of Belgians which fought at Waterloo and served with distinction? I've no knowledge of Dutch/Belgian 2de Kurassiers unless they're from the Kingdom of Holland or earlier.

It is true that the 2de Kurassiers did not exist during the 100 day campaign, however it did exist from 1805 to 1810. It was then incorporated into the French army as the 14e Régiment de Cuirassiers.

During 1805-1810 they would have fought for the Kingdom of Holland (which fought for France) during the 100 days campaign they would have fought in the United Kingdom of the Netherlands but the only Dutch/Belgian heavy cavalry units were the 1ste (NL) Karabiniers, 2de (BE) Karabiniers, and 3de (NL) Karabiniers. These units made repeated and effective charges against the French heavy cavalry during the battle and shattered the French cavalry charge on its left wing. They were arrayed with the 1ste on the left, the 2de in the center, and the 3de on the right and their uniforms were very similar but the 1ste and 3de wore bicornes and the 2de wore silvery helmets with tall black crests much like the French carabinier helmets. Facings were as follows 1ste (Purple) 2de (Red) 3de (Yellow) the 2de was led personally by the Prince of Orange to route and pursue the French cavalry off the field with the cry of "Come my comrades, let us put our sabers to these Frenchmen! The victory is ours!" Overall the Dutch/Belgian carabiniers performed very effectively and served with great distinction, showing their British comrades that they need not doubt their skill nor their courage. And any question of their loyalty died on that field.

The karabineers did a pretty good job in their counter attacks I would say, however it was the Brittish Union Brigade which saved Wellington. I think it is fair to say they were the true heroes of the day.

There were many crucial moments and many men who were the saviors of the day, the Union Brigade did very well but were it not for Ghigny's Brigade ( 8th BE Hussars and 4th NL Light Dragoons) there would have been few to no survivors. Every man who stood and fought was the hero of the day. Would there still be a victory without the allied brigades who stood at the center even if the British cavalry made their charge? Would there have been a victory without the defense of Hougoumont? Would there have been a victory without the arrival of the Prussians? Every moment was crucial.

Dont get me wrong, im not trying to play the allied victory down on one brigade, I simply think they caused the first major turning point in the battle, perhaps it was even the most important one as it had now become impossible for the French to attack the allied army in the flank.
