The 19te Prussian Infantry was formed by our first Hauptmann, Joshly, and a small number of members in April 2011. They, being veterans of other Mount and Musket regiments, wanted to create an atmosphere of respect, fun, and entertainment while playing MM. They achieved this by focusing on using great teamwork and tactics while playing the game. Two years later, our goals remain the same – to provide that same sense of comradery in and out of NW and into our other games we play. Our rank structure promotes a meaningful, but not overdone, organization and couples with our focus on using historical line tactics. We boast over three years of experience, and over this time, the regiment is anything but average. We consistently welcome new players and focus on bringing gentlemen in that mesh with our attitudes and ideals. Many of those members have stayed and remain here to this day. Rank advancement is possible – we have no set limit for any ranks, and take those that can showcase their capabilities in and out of game, and have shown dedication to the regiment over time. We respect and ask that all new members respect everyone I this community, and we endeavor to achieve this goal daily. In addition to our consistency in Napoleonic Wars, we play a wide variety of games and encourage members play together. We have members that span multiple time zones, so in the event you’re staying up late, we are certain that you will have someone to play with! Our current list of games changes consistently, so if you are even remotely interested in playing with us, please contact one of the recruiting liaisons below! (https://i.imgur.com/9L4xeiB.jpg) Joining There is a simple process for any and all interested in joining the 19te. When you go to our website, http://19te.enjin.com, you’ll see a “Join Here” tab. Press that and fill out the forms. Please be mindful of the general rules at the top of the application when you apply. Although we have fun, we ask that all members follow the rules and adhere to them. If you have any questions or would like to play with us to get to know how we operate, please add one of the many Recruiting Liaisons on Steam, shown below. Furthermore, our TeamSpeak is ts3.1stepi.com. We use that in conjunction with Steam to coordinate events and trainings. We ask that all members try to stay in and socialize with our members. applying and playing in “roles” during linebattles. We have two – “Pfunder”, or our artillery, and “Hussar”, our cavalry. Instead of most regiments that have separate ranks for these special roles, we designate our members by the addition of a extra three letters: "Pfd" and "Hsr". These members have been tried and true in the 19te, they must be competent of all formations as a soldier, and they must show initiative to lead or coordinate, if necessary. After a prospect applies, they go through a similar process to be accepted. After being accepted, they will have the opportunity to coordinate trainings, 1v1s (Hussars), and play in a specialty role during line battles. The officer corps has the right to determine who plays the specialty roles at the onset of events, in an effort to expose potential prospects. (https://i.imgur.com/E4kkZZ1.jpg) | |
(https://loppen.com/19te/rekrut.png) (Rkt): A Rekrut is the 19te’s entry position of the regiment, the member has officially passed the applicant stage into joining the ranks. The person will be promoted to Soldat when they demonstrate a good understanding of our formations and regiment in its entirety.(https://loppen.com/19te/soldat.png) (Sdt): A Soldat is an official soldier of the 19te. Soldats have a basic understanding of formations and the organization of the regiment. They are known my some members and come to events consistently.(https://loppen.com/19te/ranks_output/ranks_compact/gemeiner.png) (Gmr): A Gemeiner is classified as an exceptional Soldat who have progressed through their learning of basic commands and are working on understanding the organization of the regiment better, taking leadership in a pinch, and learning the more complex formations. These men differ from Gefreiters in that they still have things to learn, but are well on their way. | (https://loppen.com/19te/gefreiter.png) (Gfr): Gefreiters are members that understand all ranks and, for the most part, ranking structure. They rarely falter and demonstrate their understanding by taking commanding positions when all officers are down. These men are allotted opportunities such as having a designation at this point of their career.(https://loppen.com/19te/obergefreiter.png) (Ofr): Obergefreiters are our most seasoned soldiers. They conduct themselves without flaw, know all formations and the organization of the regiment, and are the perfect example for newer members. This prestige rank is for only those members who have shown themselves worthy of such an honor.(https://loppen.com/19te/unteroffizier.png) (Uffz): Unteroffiziers are newly-commissioned officers. They look after the lower ranking members by ensuring they follow orders, display good conduct, and maintain discipline within the ranks. They are beginning their career in leading the line, conducting trainings, and assisting in general administrative items. They are also seen as a point of contact for recruitment, events, or other items that newer members may be interested in learning.(https://loppen.com/19te/feldwebel.png) (Fw): Feldwebels are our senior NCOs. They look after the Unteroffiziers and assist the Leutnants with administrative items. They are trusted officers that lead trainings and linebattles, assist in creating events, and typically are entrusted with much more responsibility, should they be interested (e.g., forum management). Furthermore, they typically handle the unruly or ill-disciplined members, if necessary. | (https://loppen.com/19te/leutnant.png) (Lt): Leutnants are the first executive rank in the officer corps. They lead the administrative duties such as linebattles, forum/website management, relations with other regiments, and are a standard of our core values in the regiment. They work together with the other officer corps to hand out tasks as necessary and continually think of ideas to better serve the regiment.(https://loppen.com/19te/oberleutnant.png) (Olt): The Oberleutnant is the “Lead Leutnant”. Instead of being second-in-command he is the chosen Leutnant to guide the rest. The Oberleutnant is well respected inside and outside of the regiment and will work in tandem with the Hauptmann to make decisions and follow through on actions.(https://loppen.com/19te/hauptmann.png) (Hptm): The Hauptmann is the leader of the regiment, who gathers the opinions of other officers and, though not being a “tyrannical position,” ultimately has the final say and runs the show. |

I believe if my calculations are correct, that you can move the letters in the word "Shadow" around a total of 720 times.

I believe it's suppose to be 719, as you exclude 1 way which is "Shadow".

The permutation would be 6! as for the first spot you have 6 options, then 5 for the next etc... This gives you 720.

They're not that different, only 11 times so.
Considering how different our answers are, I wonder how you did it.

Considering how different our answers are, I wonder how you did it.
I counted spacebar as a separate character, so mine one was 11!/(2!2!2!)=4989600
Those repeating letters should be a factorial as well, not that that matters for 1 or 2 repeats.
The file size calculation was assuming that all the results are separated by another spacebar for 12 symbols, and each symbol took up 1 byte. (12*4989600)/(1024*1024)=57,1 Megabytes

Computer whizzed and whirred, it's monitor spewing out data faster than anyone could read it. And then, shuddering, it fell silent. The thing's a wonder of technology, really. Keeping track of all the Moldy signatures in a 1 kilometer radius. Built to last, but built for the original cloning plans. Ten Moldies, maybe fifty. On a good day it could handle information from a hundred clones. Location, vision, medical and psychological status, thoughts and feelings. Terabytes of data jammed down it's numerous visible and invisble cables and antennas in mere milliseconds.
Now there were thousands of Moldies.
For the first time in the last eight months stood up from his chair and asked noone in particular:
-Where's Moldy Eighty Six?
Moldy Eighty Seven replied coldly, "Sir, Moldy Eighty Six is currently deployed with the Mold Guard in..." Before he could finish, a loud claxon rang though the halls as loud noises and shouts began to echo. "He's here" Moldy Eighty Seven said
A mixture of relief and joy came over the old man's face. Sending 86 away for such a long time was foolish, especially now that sub-hundreds are in short supply.
-Bring him in, skip the disinfection.
136 moved as if to object, but 87's stern look put a quick end to that. 154 bowed and left the chamber.
Moldy 87 turned sharply and gazed into the monitor. "What is their progress" he snapped to no one in particular. "They have amassed at the perimeter, however, our sector defenses seem to be holding for now" a visibly frightened Moldy 91 said. Moldy 87 turned again, this time gazing across the room.
The situation became more dire as the days went on. To secure a safe place to conduct his cloning study, Moldy 1 the great and powerful, built a secure bunker on a remote Pacific island. Moldy 1 had left some time ago leaving no notes and things had gotten out of control.
Even though the cloning operation had gotten a little out of control, things had been under control. That is, until the fire nation attacked

Some 200 days ago Moldy 7 was going about his (no doubt very important) bussiness, but had become distracted by the sight of a water tap. Quality water is hard to come by, and this kitchen faucet seemed to be unguarded. He turned the tap on. A whisp of steam came out. That's odd. They just had the steam boiler fixed last week. Moldy twiddled with the faucet, hoping to do some good when he heard a low moan coming from the plughole. He froze. He leaned in to listen carefully. The gurgling came closer… closer… A FIREMAN splurted out of the plughole! It wraped its flagella around Moldy's neck, its fiery luminescence flickering rapidly, its mandibles undulating wildly by his eyes, oh god, now there are more, coming out of the faucet, out of the dishwasher, out of the fridge. Firemen! Firemen everywhere! Who keeps doing this to us!?

But little did Moldy007 know that under this fireman helmet it was the Moldy 69, the clone whom all the rest of the Moldies tried their best to avoid speaking of. Moldy69 was the complete opposite of Moldy 68. While 68 aimed to please others, 69 expected his debts to be repaid.
Moldy 007's debts were indeed waiting to be repaid. 69 was waiting for the perfect window to open, and once it was opened - he jumped right through it without hesitation. They thought that perhaps he wished to play Hokey against deer, or build an Igloo. However, none of them knew the deep dark secret.

Some smart dude said a while back: "Divide and Conquer". As firemen scattered to rescue cats from trees, the first part of that was taken care of. Still, some pressed on with wild abandon, looking forward to their own second part.
"Blast!" Moldy 87 said under his breath. "the CAT-a-pult was supposed to be more accurate with the tree landings". "We tried to recalibrate them last night as part of our routine checks" a nervous Moldy 100 said. He was rather new to the force, but was starting to fit in more and more each day. "We need to for the wind and the gravitational pull of the moon at this angle with then next shot. See to it Moldy 97" "Will do sir!" Moldy 97 said swearing under his breath.
Moldy 87 knew that he did not have a lot of time to contain this inclusion of the fire men. It would only be a matter of time before they saved the stranded felines, and resumed their assault. "We need a more... lethal alternative" Moldy 87 said. Reaching for his microphone, he triggered the activation switch and then yelled "All forces! All forces! Now hear this... Now hear this... We are at defcon 3... I repeat defcon 3... All Moldys grab your assault muskets... All Moldys grab your assault muskets... This is not a drill... I repeat this is not a drill..."
The room fell silent around Moldy 87. Then, with a somber understanding of the task at hand, the Moldys stood in unison from their desks, turned, and filed out of the command center heading for the armory. Moldy 87 knew that if this plan failed... he would only have one other option...
The number of Moldies, albeit concerned and frightened, knew their duties. They filed to the armory, in a sharp bosswalk, as if moving to the stands, back in the good days of Napoleon.
They entered, an unlocked their lockers, adorned with the face they all recognized- Moldy001, their idol and battle inspiration. As they gathered their equipment, a peculiar melody played. A combination of the "Preußenlied" and "Scotland the Brave". It was another one of those things that motivated the troops. They began to cheer, as the song increased in volume, and filed into a double column in the corridor.
Not a few minutes later, Moldy 87 appeared from the upstairs of the pub sector of the building, adorned in a Blue 23rd Rheinische Officer's uniform, however also in a pirate hat and a kilt, but not to the surprise of the hundreds of Moldies present. Moldy walked to the front of the column, and issued a "forward, march!"
All in step, the army of Moldies, identical in stature and appearance, wearing 23rd Gray began to follow, in stark contrast to the dashing blue of Moldy 87.
The double doors to the well armored structure opened, light and smoke pouring out.
It was no challenge to see the enemy. Not 800 yards away, many firefighters could be seen. The perimeter wall long overrun, at 1000 yards.
They advanced in a mass, and whispers of "Mcmeekins?" could be heard among the less experienced of the ranks.
As the column halted outside the structure, they began to deploy into a line, the newest of the Moldies taking the front, as per the respected order of Moldy 87.
Moldy 87 then spoke. "Quiet down, lads".
Suddenly, an assault musket discharged, spraying several dozen musket balls into the air, as all had them shouldered.
"No doubt an itchy trigger finger" Moldy 87 retorted.
"To the wall and back!" he declared immediately after.
Moldy 192, the poor new lad who had made the error, looked downrange in dismay.
"But, Leutnant Moldy 87, sir! The wall is long overrun, it is impossible to reach!"
Moldy 87 walked over and kicked him.
Moldy 192 knew this meant it was law, and began to jog.
He had not been gone from the line but a few minutes, before all the company could see a high-velocity fire axe slam into his skull.
"He was a good lad." declared Moldy 87.
Now, at 500 yards, the firemen were far more distinguishable.
The order "Prepare long range attachments" was given by Moldy's 87 underling, -Moldy 85
The hundreds of Moldies, at the ready, mounted their attachments, (Nothing more than cardboard tubes, which had the appearance of scopes)
"Present arms" declared Moldy 87
By now, the terrifying firemen were nearing 400 yards, but the Grand Mold Guard, army of Mold, defenders of West Prussia and the Realm of Canadia, were ready.
A bead of sweat dripped down Moldy 85's face, as he waited to issue a command to the company, forwarded from the stoic and grand looking Moldy 87.
There was, after all, a reason why 87 was in charge.
He knew the assault muskets were capable of firing 200 heat-seeking rounds per minute, and were painted black for extra intimidation, as well as including waterproof powder, but he still wondered if it would be enough.
Moldy 87 knew the Mold Guard needed help (however he did not voice it, in order to maintain the morale) , but from whom? If the firemen were not stopped, Minden and the Realm of Canadia would fall to their pub-like antics...
he cleared his throat, and examined his company, preparing his next move, just as the battle cries and clashing of various fire-extinguishing equipment could be heard across the fields...

It was too early for this. If Patriot hadn't have known that he had to be somewhere in another hour, way across town, he would have rolled right over in a cocoon of his blankets. Another problem that came with waking up to early: he couldn't actually remember where and who exactly he was supposed to be meeting. Patriot wasn't one for keeping leather bound diaries with the words "Princess" emblazoned on the cover. Or was he...?

Your videos never cease to make me laugh Moldy.Glad you enjoyed!
Jump above the cannon to get to the other side.
I shout "All charge" and fix bayonets.
RNJesus has spokenI shout "All charge" and fix bayonets.
A manly shout reinvogorates the crestfallen troops. They surge forward, looking forward to the kills they'll be getting in 2 minutes, once they're finally across the map. The experienced blacksmith you brought with you fixes all the bayonets in a blink of an eye.
After running for what seems like eternity, you stop and assess the tactical situation.
Your men keep charging without you.
bump!

What one car does to another in a momentary lapse of depth perception,
I can be found on the road and on your skin,
I am the sign of pregnancy,

Hi guys. I don't want to intrude so I'll be brief.
The 32nd Regiment of Foot is holding a reputable regular EU line battle on Sundays (https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=5196.0) and we're currently looking to add more line to the line-up (so punny :) ). The event is well run and organized, with emphasis on a balance between historical plausibility and competitive spirit. If you're interested in joining this week or at some point in the future, please feel free to leave a note in the thread (https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=5196.0) or add me on Steam (https://steamcommunity.com/id/gurudennis).
Cheers!
I think I'm at like four or six or something. I'm pretty competitive, but Moldy's got such a head start that there's no way I can even come close. :(If you bump every hour you can!
This is how I like to bump it

Let your Bumps be dark and dreary be
When I’m far away, on the briny ocean tossed,
Will you ever heave a sigh or a bump for me?
