We'll bring this patch out in full in a few days on Steam.
Old mods will be compatible. To use the new operations (you may be able to hack them in yourselves by manually entering the operations) we will provide the module system ASAP. More info on that soon!

It feels to me like this DLC is not going to be something major it's just something to boost their funding for Bannerlord, honestly (this just feeling but) I think Taleworlds might be running out of money? I mean just see how many sales they have done recently and small updates + this Caribbean stuff either that or they have just grown money hungry.I do strongly doubt that they are running out of money, but if you think about; NW was a huge success in terms of sales as well as marketing.

WFaS had the ability to such a great standalone, but SiCh was rushed to make it in a year... They needed more time to fix the features of the game.

I thought it was a ridiculous mod, where there was too much shit going on at the same time, the factions were a disorganised jumble of shit and where it was near damn impossible to grow compareable to a lord's party because there were too few villages to actually raise a proper levy within 100 hours?

SP: Shit. Loading takes fucking forever. Constant crashing. Framerate on map drops by 20+, meaning I get around 20-30fps on the map. However, some cities are very well done, there are bugs and graphical glitches.

Honestly, my overall rating would only be a 3/10 (5 points for MP, and 5 points for SP)... Here is why I chose such a low rating.
To begin; multiplayer just doesn't make the cut. There is such a small amount of gear, you literally get everyone, no matter the faction, using practically the same weapons and armor (which hardly exists, since it's all cloth and linen outfitting). The hitboxes for multiplayer are probably the worst I have ever dealt with, even worse than the ones that were released with the Napoleonic Wars DLC (which actually felt like a DLC). It's so hard to hit someone, and if you do, 4/5 times it's a damn glance, meaning only 5-10% damage. Building off of that, in regards to hitboxes and damage... why the fuck do I have to slash or smash someone four or more times to kill them? Why the hell do javelins immediately wreck shields, but you have to use all the javelins you have to kill someone? The balance in the multiplayer version of this mod, is just... UGH! I can't. I just can't. I am literally can't evening right now. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ruJBKFrRCk) The performance is just lacking too. So much lag, invisible walls and graphical glitches, I had to stop playing within the hour I started playing the multiplayer. One thing I do like are the maps, they're made pretty good, but still have their faults. In summary:
- Poor gear selection, practically the same crappy weapons and outfits for all factions, just slightly reskinned.
- Melee hitboxes, SUCK!
- Glancing happens too often.
- Melee and ranged damage is not balanced even semi-realistically. Too many hits to kill opponent.
- Multiplayer performance is atrocious, probably wasn't even tested and optimized.
- Multiplayer contains so many graphical glitches and coding errors, especially for naval battles.
+ Maps are alright, some very cool to play on.
I would rate the multiplayer in itself, only a 1/5.
As for the single player, I crashed in the first 20 minutes of playing. How are you going to release a singleplayer focused "DLC" with such shite optimzation and performance. Problems I encountered included terrible lag on the campaign map, sometimes dropping 20-30fps, even 40fps at times. Loading into towns takes forever, loading back into the campaign map is even worse. Shipwrights glitch out for me, and crash every time I try to buy a ship. The story is not too different than in Native, but the setting is great. It's one of the few positive things about singleplayer. Recruiting new men to fight for you is awesome, and you get the sense of them gaining power and skill with you. In summary:
- Consistent crashing...
- Was this "DLC" tested and optimized?
- Loading times are ridiculous.
- The singleplayer is riddled with bugs and glitches, many of which cause me to crash.
+ Story is cool, but not far off from native.
+ Has a great flare to it.
+ Setting rocks, it's a great period in history.
+ Sense of accomplishment when you win battles, provided they even load for you/don't crash your comptuer.
Rating for singleplayer would 2/5.
I honestly would highly recommend against buying this "DLC," which again feels more like a mod than anything... It's just not all there yet, and it needs HEAVY patching to be good and stable to keep my interest in it. I would much rather play Vikingr (http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/board,202.0.html), as it feels far more accomplished and polished, even without a singleplayer mode. I'm going to put Viking Conquest on the back burner for a few weeks to a few months. See what's been done then.

The singleplayer campaign is great. There are so many different quests and decisions, but the framerate it very bad, even on the campaign map.I share your problem! My frame rate dies when in battle, SO I tried to run the game in DirectX 7....

There's a lot of optimizing to be done. As simple as that. I also saw on some thread that the scripting was done really badly making it even worse.

Btw, the storyline ist incredibly extensive. At this point you maybe accomplished a third or a quarter of it. I played 8 hours today and did not finish it yet.

I got stuck in a point later on in the questline in my first game. So I restarted and started taking choices I hadn't taken earlier. I got stuck at Odin's cave.
The first time, I didn't give up Bodo, got past the cave. The second time I gave Bodo to Sigurdr, got stuck in the cave at the second dialog window with Bodo. Third time, again didn't give up Bodo and got past with no difficulties. Still got stuck at the Assembly however.

Also note that for a lot of players NW chat text became blur with the last update. This need to be fixed too, and is much more problematic than the bushes. If it's not fixed by Taleworlds, it must be fixed by NW devs.

I have no idea when this patch might be coming up, so it might still take some while until you get an official fix for it.

I think it's a bit of a sad reflection on the gaming industry in general that "it's playable" is now considered a selling point/positive.
