Picking up my musket by the muzzle and swinging it overhead isn't exactly the first thing that comes to my mind when I need to melee without a bayonet, tbh.

Turn it around, ram the butt into your enemies or better, thrust the barrel forward, that can give a punch as well. I've lost half my tooth last april when an Imperial grenadier hit me in the face when he tried to push me over with his musket. Sure, I can understand the 4 way system for gameplay reasons, but in reality there are a lot more practical ways than the overhead sling if you wanna melee someone with no bayo.

The down stab will be a ram I think. And there's a balance between gameplay and reality that is being blended here

All that being said, Melee will be very similar to what NW/Warband has + some added functionality.
So no need to worry about that.

It is already implemented, only thing it is lacking right now is some proper hit detection, but that is being worked on... It will be all ready and done for Alpha.

About Rifles and Muskets, as I said, we will be posting a blog about that soon.

Why would you remove the bayonet? Also can you lose the bayonet.

Final question can you disarm enemies.

I'm not sure whether I'm gonna like the 3D voicechat. They're usually just another way to annoy players.

I'll miss the times when some troll entered my TS and tried to annoy, only to have a swift banning coming at them.

I don't just mean drop I mean literally disarm them knock the weapon out of their hands. And im wondering why you would remove the bayonet.
