Sword and Scimitar by Simon Scarrow.
It's a book about the Ottoman/Turkish Siege of Malta, and it's great!

Belgarath the Sorcerer by David Eddings - (and anything else written by Eddings)

Tales of Antiquity, Garack's Kingly Troubles and Tenee the Outlaw - all written by me :P

And a whole range of Roman stuff - S.Scarrow, H.Sidebottom, B.Kane etc

Eddings was the first good author I ever read. Silk FTW right?

Read all of the Belgariad and all of the Mallorean, even read the Redemption of Althalus

Silk and Barak are ofc my favourite characters
I hereby present Crusader with the Blobdominican medal for Bravery above and beyond the call of duty in his role as AdminBorn of the FSE servers. We have also arranged some lovely flowers & a kitten to commemorate the occasion.
Thanks Crusader for all of your work in the community!

Primarily school assignments since I'm not interested or just don't enjoy it rather than video games. Last novel was To Kill a Mockingbird and I'm going to have to read Catcher in the Rye soon.

Usually I read fiction but the book I am reading now (a non-fiction text) is really interesting:

Powder and Ball Small Arms by Martin Pegler.

It is the description of how various methods of shooting a firelocks up until the end of the nineteenth century and how they fair on the firing range, it contains accounts from people who used  the weapons in battles and how well their weapon worked. The history of firelocks from the basic matchlock to the well renowned flintlock and all the other methods of firing in between. A really interesting book.

Currently I am reading the Bell Curve from Richard Herrnstein and On Duties from Cicero.
Coming soon I will read On the Laws from Cicero, one time again.

Some weeks ago I finished to read the book called The Physician from Noah Gordon, I strongly recommend it.

Yesterday I finished reading Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, and it was pretty good. It was one of those short classics that felt like it ended too soon and the story was incomplete, which I find is often the case with some of these older books. A lot of the story and message was left for the reader to interpret, which is good I guess but it left me with a sense of dissatisfaction.

Reading "Pillars of the Earth" at the moment. Planning to, when I finish this one, read "World without end" afterwards. I can't believe I haven't read "Pillars of the Earth" before this... Such an amazing book!
