The 13th Hussars Regiment is a regiment of the French army created during the French Revolution.
It is created in 1795.
In 1795, a body of cavalry is raised under the name of "Hussars of the Alps".
In the same year, this unit became the 13th Hussars Regiment.
It is dissolved in 1796.
the regiment is dissolved and its numbers are distributed between 1st and 7th Hussars.
In 1813, the regiment was recreated but it was dissolved to form the 14th Hussars.
In 1814, the regiment of hussars Jerome-Napoleon, king of Westphalia, passes to the service of France and becomes again the 13th regiment of hussars.
It is dissolved and is not reconstituted until 1891.
