Hey fellas, put this video up for the community about how to approach training people in melee (bayonets), especially those who are brand new at the game. I've been training kiddies for a quite a while now so everything that I show in this has been put through the test of time (2-3 Years) and still applies.

Regiments / 3rd East Kent Regiment of Foot - The Original(AU/NZ)
« on: May 30, 2014, 07:22:23 am »
Work in Progress

The Renaming of the 3rd East Kent Regiment of Foot is one of the oldest active regiments in the Australian community having been established 21/11/2012. The regiment has achieved great sucess in improving in this time and coming runner up in the two Oceanic Regimental Competition seasons so far. Living by the ethos of quality over quantity this regiment has no intentions on being the biggest but instead believes that individual skills leads to the regiments improvement. We are a mixed bag of people, however there is an age limit of 16 years to enlist (anyone younger is generally given a written then verbal interview). We have fun through working well as a team and achieving goals that we set out to accomplish in the game.

Winner of the United Oceanic Gaming, Regimental Competition 2014. Current holders of the Title of Best Regiment in the Oceanic Region

                Spoiler

The Mount & Blade Napoleonic Wars Regiment, Nr.23 Infanterie Regiment, is a regiment designed to be both mature, competitive & if the two aforementioned elements are met, fun. Immersing members into a positive environment that fosters skilled play, respect, mateship and discipline. The following code of conduct endeavours to maintain the design and culture of the regiment through the individual and group coherence to this code, members who do not abide by sections, or the code will be warned* of their actions once; further negligence will lead to said members removal from the regiment, regardless of rank or time spent in the regiment.

*Note that a breach of section 2c may lead to instant and permanent removal from TeamSpeak and the regiment

                Section 1: In Game Behaviour

                a)   Behaviour during Casual Play – Behaviour during casual play must be of a level that does not misrepresent the values of the regiment. Thus a member should never use inappropriate language in in-game chat nor grief, teamwond, teamkill, troll, or cause any offence to another player on the server. A member must also never modify their regimental tags unless an officer has approved of such modification.

                b)   Behaviour at Events – Events are where the regiment endeavours to highlight to the community its strengths, therefore it is at events that all members of the regiment must maintain the highest level of discipline. This includes and is not restricted to:

                1.   Following the orders of the Officer/Non-Commissioned Officer or Enlisted Man in charge of the regiment at the time without argument. Non-Commissioned Officers and Officers can of course make suggestions to the course of action to the leader of the line, however they should only do so as deemed necessary and should not be done in a manner that could/would be seen as harassing the leader of the line.

                2.   Just as seen in the Behaviour during Casual Play, a member must never use inappropriate language in in-game chat, nor grief, teamwond, teamkill, troll, or cause any offence to another player on one’s own team. Treatment of the opposing team must be done so in a sporting manner, one should never troll, abuse, harass or troll the opposing team during or AFTER the event in any way.

                3.   Maintaining quiet in TeamSpeak when ordered, with general conversations only occurring if the Officer in charge of the line (or leader of the line) deems fit. TeamSpeak behaviour during events will be further foregrounded in Section 2.

                Section 2: TeamSpeak

                a)    Conversation between Members (Casual) – General conversation between members is welcome as long as both members remain civil and respectful of each other. Abuse, trolling or any kind of spitefully malicious behaviour is not tolerated and will be deemed as a breach of the code of conduct. (This also applies to general conversation on steam or in-game chat)

                b)   Conversation between Members and Guests – Should a guest enter the TeamSpeak a member of the regiment should enter the lobby and politely enquire what it is that the guest needs assistance with. This should be done politely and handled maturely. Should this guest be a friend of the regiment they may freely move between channels and whilst they are not members section 2a of the code of  conduct will apply to this person and they will be removed from the TeamSpeak should they breach this.

                c)   Sharing of Distasteful or Illegal Material – The sharing of that which is deemed as distasteful material such as pornography, nudity, material that is deemed as racist and/or containing hate speech on TeamSpeak should this be through file sharing, posting links to such content in the chat boxes or using an image of such material as a set avatar; the person/s involved will be removed from TeamSpeak (temporarily banned) and their case reviewed by an admin. Sharing of Distasteful or Illegal Material may lead to instant and permanent removal from TeamSpeak and the regiment should an officer deem such action fit.

                d)   Behaviour on TeamSpeak during Events – Permission to talk is not used at events which the regiment attends as members are expected to have the ability to moderate their behaviour. General talking on TeamsSpeak during events, as mentioned in section 1b, should only occur if the Officer in charge of the line (or leader of the line) deems fit. TeamSpeak should remain quiet with only the officers (or NCOs depending on who is alive) and the officer (or leader of the line) talking.

Section 3: Treatment of Officers and/or Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs)

                a)   Casual Conversation between Officers/NCOs and Enlisted Members - Friendly conversation is permitted between Officers/NCOs and Enlisted Members as long as such conversation does breach the code of conduct.

                b)   Enlisted Members Requests/Suggestions/Complaints to Officers and/or NCOs – Any requests, complaints, suggestions or other formal business an enlisted member may have with an Officer or NCO must be done in a mature and professional manner. The use of derogatory or abusive language towards an officer or NCO during complaints any type of formal business a member may have with an Officer or NCO will be seen as a breach of the code of conduct.

Section 4: General Treatment of all Members

                a)   Respect – All members are to treat each other with respect and just as mentioned in section 2a, ‘abuse, trolling or any kind of spitefully malicious behaviour is not tolerated and will be deemed as a breach of the code of conduct '. No inter-member relations should breach the code of conduct at any time.

                Joining

If you wish to join the 3rdRoF, and we are looking for people who would fit the part and have enough time for Corporal & Sergeant ranks, you need to add myself Nr.23 Konroi or j.a.z on steam. We will talk to you on steam and ask you to talk to us on team-speak for something of an interview.

                Important

Please note that whilst we know there is another 3rd East Kent Regiment of Foot we did make an agreement with them about tags not to mention the fact that this  regiment was established 21/11/2012 whilst the NA regiment was established 15/12/2013. The original taleworlds post can be found here: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,255494.0.html. I have not made a post about this regiment in a long while did not mean we were dead.
